Where do you guys think Patton will land in the draft? I really like him but I think he's gonna end up in some weird spot that we'd almost have to 'reach' (if you could call it that) with our 2nd round pick for him, that's excluding any kind of trade down scenario of course. Ideally I'd love it if we could grab another late 2nd round or a 3rd rounder somehow.

Short. He has produced against Big 10 linemen with consistent numbers I think short has had at least 12 TFL and 5 sacks the past 3 years and blocked 4 kicks this year.

I know everyone here has a hard-on for Warford. But to temper that;

Kentucky OG Larry Warford didn’t shine today. In “The Pit” for run plays he often was pushed back and looked like he was on skates. In the double team drills, he released to the 2nd level quickly and continued that in the 11-on-11s. Didn’t showcase much strength.

patton should be drafted in the 2. now he could squeeze the late lst half..i think hes the most complete wr in this class....i would draft him fast in the 2.

Interesting.. I'd like to see what he benches at the combine. He might opt out of the bench press... LOL. I'd like to see 30+ reps from him.

Doesn't sound like he will get close though.

yeah ive heard comparisons to victor,jackson and smith....patton stock has really went up....he beat the corners again deep today...has caught everything thrown his way... everyone is saying his been the best wr in the practices and could be the best overall.

warford and jenkins was fun too watch....jenkins got alot of push on him but warford held the point of attack. these guys were even to me today...wouldnt mind either one or both...lol

trufant,wheaton,fisher,the center(lol sheimy idk),terron armstead, nixon, shawn washington(big hit on taylor), franklin, barner, taylor, marquis goodwin(4.3 wr/kr), kwan short, brandon williams, t-will, sylvester williams, vince williams(ilb fsu)

all those guys have showed me a lil somthing that im impressed with.

^^^ exactly thats why i like a guy like patton. great route runner(can get open), and sure hands.

nfl db are way faster and you cant do those things then you are in trouble...you not gonna be able to beat db's deep over and over again. thats why why i call patton the most complete wr.. i seen this dude do it all. slants,screens,jump ball,blocking,tough,yac,juke,gamebreaking speed,deep ball,good teammate and great character for the most part,

he is a type of guy who can take over in big games and a clutch type of guy.

That is just one mans opinion on how Warford looked. And to be honest, that is from draftcountdown and Scott Wright who has no scouting experience in his life.

If by no scouting experience you mean none under the employ of an NFL team, you're correct. But many draft analysts haven't been employed by the NFL, and that doesn't necessarily indicate that their judgements are incorrect. Draftcountdown is growing to become a pretty big name in the scouting world for a reason.

That being said, my post wasn't meant to convert the Huddle to hating Warford, rather to do exactly what I expressed, temper some of his hype. He's earning good reviews from some, but bad reviews from others.
