Stigma stuff won't cut it in the NFL any longer. Black QB's, Both coaches in a Super Bowl were black. At some point, you will have to take the chip off your shoulder and not see "everything" through your stigma glasses. At some point, producing, winning and losing will have an effect on your job and ability to get one.

Not many guys in the NFL are long for their positions, no matter the color.

Most sports of this type, except for maybe hockey, don't seem to have the sort of racial issues when it comes to hiring well qualified men of other races to top jobs in their sport. I think that was his point.

Maybe it's you who need to look a littler further than just skin color to make your defensive argument against the OP point. Lovie and Marty situation may look the same on the surface but in reality their stories are different.

If they felt that the league was discriminating against them due to their race and not performance or ability they should complain. If they felt the league wouldnt even give them a look due to their race and not their performance or ability they should complain. There is a higher percentage of white RBs and white WRs ACTIVE in the NFL right now than there are black OCs and QB coaches. And as stated earlier in this thread, at one point every RB and WR was white in the NFL. There's never been a point where the majority of your OCs and QB coaches were black.

2 points. 1st, we dont know if they make better coaches or not because a lot of NFL GMs and execs don't hire anything but and will only interview white people for OC & QB coaching jobs. So we have nothing to compare them to.

2nd, if that were true, why doesnt it hold true on defense? We have a plethora of minorities coaching on that side of the ball and some are the best in the business. Does one's melanin dictate how much they know OFFENSE? Because you just dont see it being "all white" on that side of the football as far as coaching goes.

One thing you don't realize is a a lot of these black coaches mainly positional coaches have played the game at the NFL level, which actually makes them better teachers (positional coaches) but when it comes to x's and o's (head coaching jobs), the white coaches tend to be superior.

So essentially with wanting all head coaches black, a lot of you want to run the white race out of football.

I don't see white people complaining about the lack of TRUE white American's in the NBA. You know why? Because we realize we aren't as good of athlete's/basketball players as the black race.

Sometimes it's just difficult to accept that white people are better than black people at some things and black people are better than white things at something.

And you're basing this off of? Mike McCoy automatically is a better x and o guy than Mike Tomlin because he's white? How did Mike Tomlin beat Ken Whisenhunt in the Super Bowl? Shouldnt the white guy be superior? How did Jim Caldwell get his offenses to outperform Denvers & New Englands?

I bet Kevin Love would disagree with you. And just because someone is born of a particular race does not AUTOMATICALLY make them superior to another person.

Does this logic apply to Keek? Is it safe to say he'll never be as good as James Anderson or Beason because he's a white guy playing a position that blacks are "just better at"? See the slippery slope we go down when we "generalize" a race as being superior to another with no basis or facts behind our argument. This is also the logic people used towards the QB position that whites were "naturally" better so they reasoned that Clausen & Moore were "safer" bets and more cerebal than Cam. Since Cam was given an opportunity to showcase his talents, we no longer see people clinging to this eugenic ideal. 2 years ago it was "black QBs dont go to the Super Bowl", now we have people championing Colin Kaepernick. If given an opportunity I think these black OCs, QB coaches, and head coaches would do better than you're portraying.

Your original argument was none existed. Now its "none start". And there are white WRs who DO start and have a presence in the NFL in 2013. The same cant be said for black ocs and Qb coaches
