whatever you can come up with to mask why you walked into this thread in the first place. If you don't like what I post, don't respond, don't even acknowledge it. I'm pretty sure I can live without interacting with IvanTheAwesome. But what I write sticks in your craw so you feel the need to respond. "uhuhhuh weseethesamethreadfromragingbulloverandoveragainuhuhhuhhuh" where the fug could that have come from besides residual animosity?

I don't write these threads for you, I write them for those that see through the veil of bullshit that so many people on here post.

They were worse then us in 2010. We beat them with Jimmy fuging clausen (i think he played that game)!!! seahawks were terrible in carrolls first year. He has dumped and retooled the entire team in 3 years. It can be turned around quickly if a moron gm doesn't handicap the team with shitty contracts year after year while the owner does nothing.

I mean yea the 49ers were perennial losers for years up until Harbaugh showed up to town but they are extremely lucky and the only thing that separates us from them is that they've been lucky all the time and we haven't I mean Ron's no less competent than Harbaugh y'all. You guys need to remember winning takes time.

Go get em in 2029, Ron Rivera.

I actually think that's funny, snarky and apropos.

Rivera IS learning (we hope), and is a certified project. It's true. Hopefully, it doesn't take that long though.

No offense taken here.

I think Rivera has turned around this team from what it was in 2010. We needed better talent at most positions when he came, now we need to change and upgrade a few spots. More than that though we need to just get on a winning streak early instead of late in order to build momentum and build chemistry when it counts.

I think that is doable. I know critics will jump on this but honestly we were inconsistent this year not untalented. A few more wins and we were the team no one would have wanted to face in the playoffs.

After watching the vaunted 49ers defense struggle against the Falcons offense much of the day, it really shows how much more pressure we generate up front than most teams. For me our secondary is still the weakest link. We need big physical corners who can challenge the ball . On defense we have the rest covered.

nah it was matt moore

i remember because he threw a pick six to a defensive end in that game.

And we likely wouldn't have even won that game if Charles Johnson doesn't knock Alex Smith out of the game which turned the reigns over to David "Gloves" Carr.

the biggest problem was game management and performance late in the games.

we went into each (more or less) game aggressive and were able to get a lead, but late in the game we tapped the brakes. didn't try to grow the lead. didn't try to attack the offense. they coached scared.

the players played scared as well.no confidence. from the top down they all were just waiting for the rug to be yanked out and were so focused on not doing anything to screw up, they screwed up.

just my viewpoint.

i agree, though. we have been for the last two years a potentially dangerous team.

the main thing that i see is lacking is confidence. that will lead to consistency and improved coaching decisions and improved performance from players, esp. in clutch situations.

the coaching staff just needs to stay the course with their game plan. if you start out aggressive, you finish aggressive.

Well said, and wholly agreed.
