Cut Gamble=Save a lot

Trade Beason for whatever you can get=Save a lot

A lot of guys may end up joining gamble on the chop block. I don't think we can afford to cut Beason. Penalty is too much.

As far on on the field play, I would love to keep both. Beason and Gamble would make our defense better. But with the pickup of LK, Beason is not someone we must keep. If him being gone helps the cap numbers, then its something we have to do. Same with Gamble, although I think we need him a little more than Beason.

Gamble is about done...time to cut bait and draft our first promising young corner since we drafted Gamble.

I'd agree to keep Beason with a different contract. But paying 50 mil to a linebacker who is oft-injured and already on the smaller side as far as LBs go...not a fan of doing that.

You are correct on gamble but cutting/trading beason costs more that keeping him because his remaining bonus money >what he counts this coming year.
