What would be your reaction if Chud does better than Rivera next season?

I am 99% certain that The Browns will not be better than the Panthers this year though.

i'm not.

at the very least i expect them to finish 8-8. i think chud and his staff are going to have that team a whole lot ready for the season than rivera has the last two years. he's learned a whole lot from rivera...mainly how not to start a HC career.

I think you seriously overrate Chud

Might not have a choice....they just spent a first round pick on him last year. Tough to let a new HC immediately go back to the well for another

i think they'll come after anderson and anderson starts.

there's not really a whole lot of seperation from wheeden and anderson, imo, and anderson knows chud's offense. at the very least they'll find some vet who can step in and manage a game.

i think he's smarter than rivera was in that he insulated himself from getting in over his head. his staff makes him better than he otherwise would have been.

i think the ceiling is low for him, but i expect him to start off better than rivera.

This is obviously going to be a battle of better talent (the Panthers) vs a better coaching staff (the Browns), on paper. And we'll see what happens.

If Rivera has a bad year, I think the Browns can have a better record. However, if the Panthers improve as we think/hope; they should have a better record than the Browns.

I didnt think of it that way.

I think that Chud could be a better coach than Rivera, but I do not think that The Browns will win more games than the Panthers though.

I am still a sleeper on Rivera though. I like his aggressiveness. It is so much better than watching Foxball for God knows how long. I think that the players like Ron, and I am going to be paying attention to how we start the year. I expect them to play the way that they played at the end of the season. If not, than maybe this team isnt ready yet with Ron at the helm.

he's aggressive until the end of the game.

that's when defensive coaches generally show their true colors and revert into "protecting the lead" mode which traditionally means tap on the brakes, eat up clock, and make your defense hold them.

mike smith has turned that into an art form in the playoffs...and by art i mean monkey splattering poo on canvas type art.

Then they will lose. DA isn't good. Wasn't good throwing to a prime Fitzgerald. Wasn't good with Chud in Clev the last we saw that pair. Don't forget, Clev cheered DA's injury and the insertion of a horrific Quinn.

Anderson had one fluke season that happened with others having fluke years. DA has never shown to be a safe vet game manager.
