My Reason to cut J. Gross and C. Gamble

These two players have been great panthers but the only problem with that is they are cap causalities. Gross is going to cost a little over 8 mill next year and Gamble is going to cost a little under 8 mill. So basically my point is that if we cut these two players and pick the right players in the draft then we can immediately be under the cap enough to be able to focus on either FA or restructuring other contracts.

The only problem is if we cut Gross then we will have to draft two offensive lineman in the first two round and as hard as this might be to have such a young line it might benefit us in the long run.

Your thoughts?

I agree about Gamble... He's a good player but our secondary played good without him (even better with Nakamura out of the starting lineup)

As for Gross the only way we release him is if we know Bruce Campbell can come in and produce at the LT position

I can honestly see Gamble being a cap casualty, can't see Gross though. Gross is much more likely to be in line for a restructure. Even if he's older, he'd still be a great RT whenever we draft our future LT.

yeah but if he goes to RT do you think Bell would make a good RG or would he sit behind Gross?

I agree we may even draft a LT in the 1st or 2nd

Im curious. . . are you satisfied with our secondary because of the statistics or when you watch them play do you see them covering receivers. Its no secret that our safeties suck in coverage but isnt really the corner's job to be there first and foremost?

The thing is, Gamble doesnt need his DE's earning him a good game, he can do that by himself, and Hardy and Big Money dont dominate every line they encounter. Now we're talking about getting rid of some DT's and bringing in some young bucks further weakening our front 4. . . mmm Idk about all this getting rid of Gamble talk.

I would understand if someone made the call, but I cant lie, I'd be kind of crushed. Gross, Id feel bad about also, but I think he needs to step out of the way. . . not so much Gamble. He's still very much needed.

and btw corners play just fine into there 30's. How old is Champs Bailey?
