If a sure-fire WR1 is not available after our first 2 picks, should we wait? Presuming we go Line with 1 and 2

I think that you are right in that the story has not been written on Hill, much like to a lesser extent that it hasn't been written on Blackmon. Two receivers with crappy QB play that obviously affected their bottom line. Hill's problem---which may be a very big problem---is that he reportedly has the dropsies.

But rather Hill or Amini turns out to be a better value is still in question.

Yea. I didn't mean that Hill is going to be a better player than Amini. I meant I would've been happy with either one.

And for Hill, his ceiling is still very high. His first game he grabbed two tds. Poor QB play brought his production down a lot but still you can't expect a raw WR like Hill to put up bigger number. He's shown he can play receiver in this league with the limited action he had.

I know you went crazy for drafting a player in the 1st round. That couldn't run pass routes and had horrible hands. Yes I do know that.

I know that you were calling Lafell elite also. How hes going to become that true no.2 receiver. And no one believed me that he always find way to disappear in games. Always brought up how he scored that 91yd td vs the Bucs. Cho cho cho

The falcons did that because they have a Qb who needs that to be successful. Great Qb like I think we have makes his weapons better.

Brady won superbowls with no name wr. Brees makes his wr better. Rodgers makes his wr better.

Our Wr weren't the problem this year our OC was.

as much as i hate to say this but that other weapon has help them get over the hump and thats part of why they are playing on sunday. deion branch, troy brown and david givens were all decent WRs at one point. ARod has 3 2nd round WRs to throw to on top of being a good QB.WRs where part of the problem with drops, and not getting open, or slips on routes.

Yeah, I remember KKL talking up Lafell last year.

I got a question, KKL: Do You Still Think That LaFell Is Dat Deal Now?

At no point did I call Lafell elite so now you're a dumb ass and a liar. And again you wanted to draft a Wr in the 2nd round who didn't know the route tree and has bad hands.

If we had done what you thought was a good idea last year. We would have a hole at LG and a another tall fast wr sitting behind Lafell, Murphy, Edwards, Pilaris, and Adams.

Sorry the panthers ranked top 5 in least drops.

Koolkatluke is missing the point. Branch, Givens, Troy etc are all very consistent receivers even though they're no namers. The system they play in also has a lot to do with that. Also playin with a Brady or Brees, they expect a lot out of you. I'm not saying Cam doesn't though. I'm sure he does.

With Lafell, he has shown in his three seasons that he'll find ways to disappear. He's not consistent. He's never going to be that guy that you can go to on two-three consecutive plays. If lucky, he'll grab a 91yarder and that'll be it.

Good receivers that help you win are the one who catches 7+ balls a game, not 1-2 for 91yd. What does 7+rec tells you??? Its telling that you're moving the chain constantly and your offense is in position to score points.

We needed a WR more last year than this year. What r u talking about.

No one knew we were going to draft Amini or even an OL last year. Though I did make an Amini thread a week right before the draft

They were all no where near the talent of the wr that Matt Ryan has. Brady made them better.

And I don't agree. I think we have enough weapons to have a top 5 offense if we tweak the o-line and the OC doesn't have his head up his ass.

but look when drops happened. Lafell makes that catch we win vs KC. Smitty does not slip on Joe Blades,no pick 6. a 6'2 WR catches the ball on the 1 but cannot fight for that extra yard so now you have to go for it on 4th down vs the seahawks. just to many plays on the field where the WRs needed to make a play but did not.

That's you living in the fish bowl. You know every drop this team made but how many did other teams have.

Plus to blame those drops as reason we lost games is a little much.

What about the defense not stopping Brady freaking Quinn?

What about D-will and Stewie fumbles in the Seahawks game?

What about letting a team with no TO run the same play over and over again until they get in FG range?

To try to use their few drops that happen a a major game changer is crazy. Every team has drops. We just had less then most.

We're not even talking Ryan here. Atlanta receivers are elite and they're making Ryan better and better each year.

The only two QBs that can make scrubs better than they are, are Brady and Manning.

Brees have legit Wrs: Colston, Moore, Meachem and Graham, and GB and Ryan both has elite receivers.
