DCK Mock Draft

huge difference with Amini who played D2 football and Frederick who played at Wisconsin.everybody knows that UW produces OL and this guy has been apart of the program for 3+ years. has started at 2 different postions, tough, smart and has good size. plus if something does happened to Kalil you got a nice back up center to fill his spot. i would like any WR in the 2nd with OL or DT in the first but what seperates Allen from Hunter, Patterson, and Rogers is being consistent and no off field issues. Nuk is a baller and i would love to have him too.

I didn't mean to imply they're similar players, just comparing how they're relative unknowns without much hype or talk of going that high. At least not yet...

unknown to some, but from everything i read is he just as good if not better prospect as Peter Konz was coming out last year. they both started at OG before switching to C and leaving for the NFL.

I think Logan is more of an UT right? We need a run stuffer.

Edit: yea just looked him up. Logan's 290. He might be a solid player, but at least Geathers is of the mold we need.

2nd edit: dumbass iPad posting double posted

yea, thats what I thought also.

"Quick off the snap and capable of handling double-teams due to his strength and use of leverage, Logan is a load in the middle and a big reason as to why LSU ranked fifth in the

country last year in run defense." - cbssports

off that analysis, does it mean that Logan can stuff the run?

Here's what ESPN has to say:

"Defensive Tackle Specific Traits

Versus the Run 2 Not a massive space eater. Will fight hard vs. double team but rarely is able to hold ground or split. Lacks lead in trunk. Will never be a good two-gap defender in NFL. However, he fires out low, has excellent initial leverage and shows good overall strength for size. Tough to move one-on-one. Good initial pop. Can disengage quickly. Does a great job of keeping eyes up and locating the football. Good overall awareness. Has great range versus the run. Closes quickly for his size and is an explosive tackler. Man handles ball carriers on a consistent basis."

what dont you guys like about a guy who has produced with inconsistent QB play for 3 years in a row?on top of being the only true threat at WR so teams rolled coverages and game planned around stopping him.

Injuries, nagging injuries. Do not want my first pick to have an injury history.

Allen is a solid receiver but I do not want anything to do with him. I am sick of having injury prone guys on this team and Allen would just be another one.

It sounds like it, but I'd have to question his ability to stuff the run in the NFL at 290. If his technique is just that good and he can put on about 20 lbs I'd be all for bringing him in.

Im sure Logan can add 15-20 more pounds in the next level.

Im not saying Logan is anything like Ratliff, but Ratliff is only 303lbs and been a NT on a 34 D for a very long time.
