Thoughts on the 2012 Draft Class

Wilson in the 6th has done a pretty good job on Special Teams. I also believe Pilares is better than most give him credit for.. outside of that though, meh. 2 were cut from the team, 2 went on IR, 1 should be and most likely will be cut,

...and SuperCam.

Pretty weak overall draft past the first round.

Lawrence Wilson was cut last year for being caught with dope. You're thinking Jason Williams.

If Pilares can develop I like his skillset.

I hate Pilares. I'm a fan, not a homer so I'm not biased on my players compared to others. Pilares is this upcoming season version of last season Lafell. Fans just want to love them.

Pilares is a bad receiver and still very raw. He's a straight line runner with average hands.

I've never seen Pilares not catch a ball thrown to him.

You have members with good input and then you have people that say dumb chit like that. LaFell hasn't been sorry imo and he is one of the best drafted wr with david gettis that we had since smitty. I hate to bring this up but he put up numbers similar to Dez Bryant in his rookie season with no solid quarterback while catching most of the passes from Clausen.

Ron wasn't high on him and brought in Legs then LaFell won over the starting job and he won of the starting job over Murphy. I don't know what some of you guys are talking sometimes.

sorry but I have an off-topic question--

@Chuck: Just out of curiosity, are you of a far eastern ethnicity?

now back on-topic---

A for Kuechly. Was indifferent about it and he's proven one of the best defensive players to come out of that draft and a top-10 MLB in the league year 1 imo.

C for Silatulu. Its year one with a guard and he had to play without Kalil next to him for the majority of the season. He was average considering the situation.

B+ for Alexander. He really proved to be a strong rotational guy and maybe a future starter down the road. Really nice depth for our DEs to relieve Hardy or CJ.

D for Adams. Not an F because he showed when he actually holds on to the ball he can do something with a play. But pretty iffy first year for the kid. Even though he was a 4th, I kinda expected more.

Nortman gets a C- for me. Didn't impress and had some pretty bad punts at important parts of a game (i.e. Chicago) I dunno though

Campbell gets a B especially given where we picked him. Looked solid

Luke Kuechly- A+

Amini Silatolu- C+

Frank Alexander- B

Joe Adams- D (I don't want to give up to fast on him.. (See Trenton Holiday))

Josh Norman- C+ to B- he played great for what he was (5th round rookie coming form a Division II school) if the coaches would've played to his strengths he would've been even better

Brad Nortman- C Improved by the end of the season but I still haven't forgot about that 6 yard punt against Chicago -_-

DJ Campbell- B The kid balled out when I thought he shouldn't have even made the team.. Will be keeping an ear out for him in the offseason

what? why?

just of of curiosity also, are you of a eastern/southern ethnicity?

"far east" as in asian. I'm asking because when I read your posts, its as if they are in broken English via keyboard and your name is chuck...Carolina-Charlie

I'm part Croatian, German, and Luxembourgian btw

--draft

forgot Norman:

He looked good at times but did seem to be a little inconsistent. I'd give him a C+ considering he's from a DII and was a 5th rounder.
