So he had a virtual girlfriend?

This guy is a piece of crap he's BSing the whole thing hoping that statement will make everything go away in time... In the deadspin report it says he claimed to have met her in real life at a game or something and talked to her every night on the phone (when really the person behind the fake girls account was a guy named Ronaiah Tuiasosopo) and also, why wouldn't teo look into her death more since there were never any records of it?! Anyone who believes his story is clearly delusional.

one cheated. the other didnt. one saved lives and raised money. the other didnt. them lying is the only thing they have in common. in any scandal there are lies. does that make this and every scandal related? no

I get what you're saying. But in my book if your entire life or inspiring story is based on a lie that you repeat over and over for personal gain, you are a complete tool and I will lump said tools in the same category.

All you can say is WOW. It amazing how the media will spin this. Only in America if your liked can the media put a positive spin on this B.S. It's one thing to lie on your dick to your boys but to the entire nation. Very sad. LOL. I can't wait to hear Mike Golic spend on this tomorrow on Mike & Mike tomorrow.

If that does end up being the case, I think there will equal coverage given to the ramifications of him needing to do that as there is bashing him. I can understand making up a beard, a lot of people do it. The whole 'she died and coma and car crash" is nutso though.

Yeah... Come to think of it, IF she was created just to throw his friends & family off, & it just spiraled out of control on him, he could wind up smelling like roses. Even with the cockeyed story ND just put out.

Having said that, it's also possible that this could've just been an attempt to get sympathy votes for the Heisman.

Really that could be the result of people pressing him about an 'online girlfriend' so he just said they met to not be embarrassed.

As much as I want this to be a hilarious catastrophe, it reads like he fell for someone pretending to be this woman online and was just naive enough to fall for it for a long time.
