Manti admits he lied, kinda.

"Now I get a phone call on Dec. 6, saying that she's alive and then I'm going be put on national TV two days later. And to ask me about the same question. You know, what would you do?" Te'o said.

Well for one Manti, I wouldn't be stupid enough to keep lying. This guy reeks of a lying douche.

I would have done the same thing in his shoes. You guys have been absolutely way to hard on a guy would got tricked and is ashamed of it. Cut the kid some slack.

Sorry, but I don't buy for a second that he got "tricked". At worst he was in on it, and at best he HAD to have suspected that something wasn't right.

Exactly... the odds of him being that articulate with words while being computer illiterate are pretty much nil in my generation. He was in on it, but got lucky that hes got a team of lawyers and whatnot concocting a strange-but-believable story.

I can't believe people are so blind to this. When is someone going to ask him if he's gay? It's the classic story of a closeted gay man making up the out of town girlfriend to get some suspicious people off his back. You can't be openly gay and win the Heisman, or be an NFL star. That's at the root of this whole story.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he and Roniah Tuiasosopo were lovers and came up with this story together to hide their relationship. It's the only reasonable explanation to this bizarre story.

Te'o 's story is still to confusing to believe. He's come out and said he lied after he found out his girlfriend wasn't dead. Yet we also know he lied about meeting her. With all these lies that were going on for so long (that he set up meeting arrangements yet she never showed for any of them), surely he would have suspected this person wasn't real. To be duped for so long, for possibly three years, is a little too hard to believe.

He would have to pull off some twighlight zone type stuff for him to be completely innocent of this event. Yet let's say he is for innocent for the moment. Wouldn't it be funny if Manti and Dianne (the girl in the photos) got together after all this. :lol:
