I am not a fan of hiring a CFL HC when there are better options out there so i feel bad for bears fans but i know he has NFL experience on many teams so thats a plus i guess. ESPN is basically swooning over this hire today but i just dont see it.

it doesnt matter where a coach comes from. what matters is does he have what it takes to be a successful HC.

if I was a bears fan id feel better about this hire than a ex HC that was canned for not getting the job done.

I know of two that made it to the superbowl from the CFL but both lost.

Trestman has better credentials than many NFL head coaches, including our own Ron Rivera. The only difference was, instead of getting turned down like 8 times, Trestman opted to gain some HC experience in Canada, where he could show he could manage games and oversee all 3 phases of the game.

Those who follow the NFL closely know this guy and that he is a very legit hire.
