Is Lamont Bryant The Next Impact Player Off The Practice Squad?

This, I'm questioning why we resigned Nelson Rosario though... Also since this is brought up don't know if yall know but Jared Green is a Dallas Cowboy we let him walk

Well, not exactly. We didn't let him "walk", Dallas signed him off of our practice squad. Any team can sign any player from any practice squad in the league, so long as they sign him to the active roster, and there isn't a thing that the original team can do about it.

True.. But we resigned Bryant, Rosario, and Hixon to contracts before Dallas signed him... Wouldn't we have resigned Green as well?

There's a million things more that go into being a receiver than just having measurables. If he couldn't dominate at the lower levels it either speaks to an inability to use his gifts or an unwillingness to work at developing them.

Reminds me of a guy on our local high school squad that had five inches on everyone and was an athletic freak but could be shutdown with the simplest of press coverages because he hated contact.

Very true.. I think he didn't dominate at in high school because he was a backup QB, DE, S etc... As for college people have questioned his work ethic but time will tell if he does prove to be a NFL Receiver. I know this gets said a lot but if Smitty can take him under his wing as he has done with other receivers on the team Smitty can get him straight.

Hopefully during Gettleman's "top to bottom" evaluation of our roster he will ask Ron when does this guy get a chance?

On a side-note...hey Zod...can we have Gettleman's name added to the Huddle dictionary so it doesn't show up with a red line underneath it every time I type his name?

Just hit right click and add to dictionary.

I think he just needs to learn the technique. He's not an experienced reciever. How to get pass the corner jams, smooth route running, knowing how to lay down in soft zone coverage. He's gonna need some work but if he is a hard worker he could be something special.

Most reports are that he is not a hard worker. And they seem believable because it'd be pretty hard to not at least play decently with his skills.

Damn, that's really too bad. Do you have a link to those reports. I'm not questioning you I just would like to read something on him.
