From his demeanor here, I think Beason would be willing to work with the FO in order to remain a leader in this defensive system rather than becom a new guy in another defensive system. That said, he deserves to be near the top of the pay grade.

He's a top five linebacker, so I'd say so.

The Panthers are not afraid to shell out money if it means keeping one of their better players (see Peppers, Julius).

I'm sure a lot will depend on the team's needs as a whole and other contract issues, but I don't see them letting Beason go.
