"Guys Night"

I've come to find that when I was in my early to mid twenties and had a poo apartment, I very much enjoyed staying out until 2-3am, then coming home and partying more.

I turned thirty in October and for the last five years I've had a huge house, every gadget I could ask for, and Comcast Internet with a 25-35+ Mbps connection for online gaming. Between that and the regulation bar liquor cabinet and a little stash of pot, I really have no reason to go out anymore.

I enjoy the company of complete strangers blowing up mcom stations on BF3 moreso than with my friends getting drunk until 3am. It's sad but I've stayed home on more than one occasion because the wife went to sleep early and I knew I'd get a solid four hours in on BF3.

I feel you Panthro. If I have a late night out now, it's in one of the Man Caves on my street. We normally hang out and watch sports, shoot pool, play darts, etc. My "going out" is now 10 Sunday's a year for Panther games.

This thread makes me never want to grow up. Although I basically already am an old man who hates partying or going out very often, I became depressed reading this. Thanks everyone.

I used to work shift work....12 hour days and 12 hour nights...so my mind and body was well training to push through the tired and just keep going until I told it it was good to stop.

mid 40's, day worker...it's amazing if I see midnight most nights.

I can't sleep in like I used to either...so that doesn't help!!

Just wrapped up a guys night.

One keep it simple.

We get together once every three weeks or so. Drink some beer most nights. Sometimes we make it a whiskey night.

We never go out. It's always at one of our places.

Kick back, talk, play cards....whatever we're in the mood for.

We don't start til 9ish, sometimes 10pm.

Typically are done around 1am, but have been known to go later.

We all get up early the following day for work.

I was in the Navy and gone most of the time long before I turned 21... but there was no drinking age on base back then. Regardless, when you start living that life as young as I was, I was over it by 30.

Now all my buds put together these "golf trips" where their biggest thrill is hitting up the topless clubs in Myrtle every night. Talk about a ridiculous waste of money unless you really believe Please welcome the lovely and talented Diamond" is working her way through med school. I saw more tits and tail in strip joints all over the world by the time I was 25. Internet pron is better and cheaper anyway.

I can't honestly remember the last time I was out with people for the sole purpose of tying one on. I can't remember the last time I got that hammered... anywhere.

I do remember the days of waiting tables..and not getting to the bar until Midnight.....it's been a long..but vaguely, I do remember them

funny thing is each of us (my friends) all have families, and work that demands a lot from us.

So the starting time is what it is cause that is the earliest we can get together.
