Cam Newton needs to quit this BS

Had this discussion before...there is a good time and a bad time to do it. Doing your little dance when your team is down 3 TDs at the end of the 4th quarter when you are on your way to a 30 point loss is a bad time. Doing it when you are up 2 TDs, heading to the AFC Championship game, and its the first time you've run for a first down in half a season...good time.

Cam's problem is he looks like he show-boats after every good thing he does. The great ones act like they have been there before unless the play is a ridiculously special play. He's gotta stop doing it after every time he gets a first down or TD running. Save it for the big time...JMO.

Not true. Tom Brady and Rodgers almost always do something after a first down/TD run. Brady may not have a signature move like Rodgers but neither is them just run and act as if it was no big deal

Brady had a burst of emotion. Cam does choreographed and ostentatious celebrations. They are different. Also one is on a winning team in the playoffs, the other celebrates first downs against teams that'll be drafting in the top 3 while his own team has a losing record and while his own team is down multiple scores in the game.

I say Cam can do whatever the Fug he wants. These stupid lists of circumstances under which one is allowed to celebrate are different for every person and in some cases, to certain people, a racial issue as well. What happens if Cam wins a Super Bowl five years from now? Are all prior crimes against decency pardoned? This is all getting a bit ridiculous. The bottom line is we can't change what people say on TV, or the ESPN comment section, or on the radio so we are wasting our time. Just set your own standards and live by them and cheer for players you feel live up to them is all you can really do.

Ah, there it is....

The blind double standard. You do realize Brady has done that for years.....in the regular season. You see, to them it is a game. They just do it.

Tom Brady doesn't pull that junk out only in postseason games or just when winning.

But thanks for helping aid the point I was making....

no double standard, one QB has done nothing but win his entire career, 3 Super Bowl wins and if he wins again Sunday is going to his 6th Super Bowl overall and is the winningest QB of our generation.

Brady has won the right to do what ever he feels like in a game, because he's won and winning in large part is all that matters.

He also did that while his team was up 28-7 going into the 4th quarter

Cam on the other had while has put of a lot of great stats with having arguably the greatest first 2 seasons of a QB career from a stat point of view is lacking in the winds department, he's new to the league and hasn't really won anything yet, aka done nothing to deserve the pass.

Cam has also only really been ripped for his celebrations after he celebrated his TD against the Giants when his team was down 23-7 in the 3rd quarter, and I don't care how big of a homer you are but doing a celebration and basically saying hey "look at me!" while your teams is getting it's cleats beat off in a game while in front of your home crowd on National Television is a dumb thing to do.

Now, I think Cam made great strides to become a better leader of the team and make the game less about him over the course of the season, and I think criticism from stuff like that is part of what it is.

But with that said no one cares what you do when you win, so to quote Al Davis "Just win baby" and everything else will work itself out.

Brady pretty consistently has always done a first down chop.....and Rodgers with his TD belt.

Winning is irrelevant. Brady wouldn't not do it if his team had a losing season. He doesn't do it bc he has a ring. That is just some flat our flawed thinking..

Irrelevant. You don't earn the right to have fun and show emotion bc of rings.

Media picks on what they want to pick on......nothing more. They want to pick on Cam therefore they nitpick.
