Cam Newton needs to quit this BS

You really can't take anything ESPN says seriously. They employ Skip Bayless. That's like getting mad when Clay Aiken criticizes your favorite rock band. (You guys would probably rage). ESPN is really geared towards young people. Really as an adult it's embarassing to watch 45 year old men say "bro" and "shizzle" on live TV.

Maybe Tom will just go steal another laptop

You have to love this with the Cam haters, something that Cam did five years ago, and has never been in trouble with the Law since, is still being used against him. Despite the fact the charges were dropped.

As Nas said, "People warned me, when you're on top, there's envy."

Ah, there it is....

The blind double standard. You do realize Brady has done that for years.....in the regular season. You see, to them it is a game. They just do it.

Tom Brady doesn't pull that junk out only in postseason games or just when winning.

But thanks for helping aid the point I was making....

But you didn't link to a first down made in the regular season. You linked to this play. If you're trying to make a point about something, try to do it with facts pertinent to the point you want to make. This was a playoff game. He scrambled for a first down on 3rd and long, and his team went on to win that playoff game. A context for everything and for everything a context.

Had you started this thread with an example in a game where the Patriots were down big points in the regular season, you may have salvaged some semblance of a point. As it stands, you just missed the boat entirely on the reason the criticism is leveled at Cam for his first down celebration. It's the timing, it's the scoreboard, and it's the frequency.

I think Cam is a phenomenal quarterback, but to pretend like he does no wrong is just plain hero worship. I am happy he is on my team. I am happy when he takes pride in what he does, provided what he is doing is helping us win the actual damn game. I get just as annoyed when guys like Charles Johnson jump up and celebrate a sack in garbage time of a blowout loss, but when you're at the quarterback position your responsibility is magnified. Everybody is keeping their eyes on you to set an example for the rest of the team to follow. Most of the time that impression on the team from Cam is incredibly positive, but that annoying habit would be great to eliminate. I don't care what he does when he gets us into the endzone and the game is close.

Nope. That gif was from last month when the Pats faced the Texans.

Your ignorance doesn't make for a strong arguement. Brady celebrates 1st downs all the time.

Fair enough. The context of it being the playoffs can be totally dismissed. The two remaining factors to dismiss remain. The Patriots were winning the game and the issue of frequency which is a bit harder to nail down. I don't recall seeing Brady celebrating every rushing first down, but it's possible I am mistaken. The first criteria of at least being "in the game", on the scoreboard is certainly the more important of the two regarding criticism.

Your spelling is bad and so is your logic. You didn't even present a counter to anything that post said, but you call it ignorant. Care to enlighten?

I went after your arguement and you come after my spelling. Sounds like you have a strong leg to stand on. You are ignorant to Tom Brady's behavior. Your arguement is soley based on what you do not know and that is not much af an arguement at all.

I actually came after your lack of any cogent thought being put into your post. You must be a real hit on the debate team. Counter: you're ignorant. Case closed. But you're making baby steps. I have to give it to you. You almost made a point when you mentioned that I don't know or have any evidence for what Brady does after every first down, a fact which I readily admitted earlier. If you keep striking out at it you may eventually stumble across something close to a point.

And Kaepernick has half a season of impressive starts on an enormously talented roster, so I guess that gives him the right to spike the football at a defender correct?

No. Not at all the same thing... It's immature what cam does and it's immature for kaep to spike the ball at a ref. the difference is his team is in the NFC championship game next week

We should really see other people. You did attack my spelling. "Your ignorance" is correct. It shows you possess ignorance. You are ignorant is also correct, there is no internet bro code against typing out contractions long form. In fact there is no internet bro code on forum typing at all. Get over yourself, it's just the internet.
