Charlotte finished the half on a 9-0 run to lead 45-43 at halftime.

Personal Observations - 'Cats energy and defensive consistency is way up from last night's lost to Toronto.

Adrien and Hansbrough got into it a couple of times...

'Cats playing much better pick n' roll defense than they have of late but still fail to make the third or more rotation on defense...which IMO is the trademark of an inexperienced team.

Here's to hoping Charlotte continues to hustle and maybe sneak out of Indy with a win vs a hot Pacers squad.

'Cats end the quarter on a high going on a small run to erase an 8 point Indiana lead. The 'Cats have been doubling the pick n' roll for most of the third which I think has stalled Indiana's offense some. The 'Cats have also done well getting out on the break off made baskets.

Charlotte struggled to defend when David West had the ball in the high post or at the elbow due to his passing abilities.

Charlotte's ability to double the pick n' roll forced an adjustment by Indiana. Almost every pick n' roll was with D. West and he made the passes to beat the 'Cats.

That being said, Charlotte is improving...they just lack consistency on both ends and are in dire need of some post scoring.

      It must be an early Christmas for JT O'Sullivan having Thielen back so he could put a coal in Thielen's stocking every chance he gets.  Honestly, the biggest surprise is not so much the anticipation. There were those moments here and there last year as well. It's that even that one positive quality he had seemingly vanished his first two games to where it looked like it was all but over, only for it to start coming back some until you get exclamation points all over this game film. And some of those throws were under a lot of duress, something I feel is something new. Finally, those deeper shots are starting to land. Not all of them, but enough that defenses may have to start respecting them. No guarantees whether this will end up as more of anomaly but I certainly hope it isn't. The Green Bay game was a sampler of what BY could be. Against KC, we got a meal. If we could start getting these meals regularly, we might actually have something to work with here.

      Heels let another team go up 20 on them but this time they complete the comeback. HD never seems to have his team ready but he makes great halftime adjustments. Powell played the majority of the second half and his defense was the difference along with his big three pointer to give the Heels the lead for good. Trimble and Davis were also spectacular. Carolina can’t let Auburn get out to a 20 point lead though, they won’t be able to come back from that.
