Thinking about buying a pool table

Looking on Craigslist, I could get one for $500-750. Also looking at moving options. There are companies that will move a table for $250-450....they. Will also re-felt the table.

Anyone every bought a table? Or moved a table?

Also, I was thinking about getting a Panthers felt

I had one. Played a lot when we first got it, but it ended up taking up space. Wasnt really looking for one when I bought it but the price was right at $250. Sold it for 400 so I guess it was worth it to have for a couple of years. The panthers felt sounds badass tho.

As far as moving, Id borrow someones pickup or rent a truck before I payed 250+ for someone else to move it. They are heavy, mine was pretty tough to move with three people and damn near impossible with two.

Congrats on having enough spare space to put one. Obviously you're not married, otherwise that space would have been a closet by now.

Might try calling some salvage places. A lot of times when a restaurant or bar goes out of business these places will come in and haul all the stuff left behind out- lot cheaper than paying a table mover to come get it.

Yeah my house had a pool table in it when we bought it and it dominated the whole man cave. Had no desire to keep it. Like any game you will get bored of it sooner than later.

we have one and I put a Seahawks felt on it when I moved to this house. We used it lots when we first bought it...not it's a really expensive ironing board!

I've got lots of space for it, so I won't get rid of it...but make sure you think long and hard before dropping the coin
