Beane was never a candidate

The "point" is to highlight that some of the media coverage of us has been inaccurate.

Some folks think it's because of deliberate misinformation. Possible. My take though? It's disinterest / apathy / laziness on the part of some of the journalists.

Said elsewhere, when you've got someone who apparently hasn't even bothered to read our new GMs bio (evidenced by his telling a chat patron that Gettleman had never worked as a college scout and not even spelling his name right in the initial article) to me that's a clear indicator that when it comes to covering our team, this guy just isn't putting in that much effort.

OK, that's a little more understandable, and the point is well taken. Like so many times, a thread has morphed into another discussion (which isn't necessarily bad, just the nature of the beast).

We all knew that national writers don't necessarily know poo about the Panthers, and their "coverage", or lack thereof, is evidence of that fact. When it's closer to home, that's another thing. Makes me wonder if perhaps the organization has pulled back on offering up information due to all the negativity as of late. Perhaps this is just the nature of the beast as well. Even the local guys are throwing stuff out there to see if it has some wings, because it's all they got.

You know, another possible source for the Beane stuff may have been Marty. Yas and Person perhaps couldn't get any info out of the organization, so they may have called up good ole Marty to get his opinion. Yeah, these guys are maybe lazy, but they got an otherwise implausible Beane name from somewhere.

Acorisi invites Beane to his house about an important role.

Beane tells the family, buys a new boat..gets a new suit for the press conference as his lifelong dream has come true.

Beans arrives at the house.

Acorisi is having a dinner party and asks Beane if he minds bringing out the dinner with Gettleman and Ross... Beane politely smiles and puts on the apron and graciously delivers the fine meal while holding back his quivering lip.

Hearing the laughter of a muffled conversation while standing in the kitchen Beane looks at his reflection on the stainless steel fridge and spits water at his dellusional blurred image.

He is a broken man as they announce Gettleman as the new GM...JR hands Beane his empty plate.

Creative, but cruel.
