All signs point to Shula...

I think Zod likes to stir the pot quite often, but on this prediction I think hes dead on right. Who worth a damn would commit to a hc who is seriously on the bubble for a fourth year.?

I like Shula!

He's going to give us a more balanced offense. More pound and ground game which will make our backs happy and Cam better. I think we're going to see Cam's td passes increase and less turnovers.

Olsen is going to have an even more better year.

A more balanced offense means better OLINE. We're going Chance Warmack at 14 baby.

Shula will absolutely be promoted. I can't imagine anything else at this point. One more year to evaluate Rivera and Co. Meanwhile, Gettlemen will spend much of the year monitoring potential replacements

And take your impression of "team needs" with regards to the draft and throw them out the window. Gettlemen is not drafting players to fill holes for Rivera this year.

If Shula is promoted to OC, who might the new QB coach be? While losing the opportunity to have Chud or Norv (I was leaning towards Turner after Chud did his sophomore slump routine again), the potential of landing Dave Toubs is keeping me cautiously optimistic. I'm wonder if the Graves hire was to appeal to Smitty when Rivera came over.

Many posters wanted to see Rivera and co. canned this offseason. Now that Rivera is safe, Chud is leaving for a promotion, and four other coaches have been let go (Murphy during the season), I'm seeing the same posters pouting. It just goes to show that some folks actually enjoy being Debbie Downers, which is a damn shame. This team has had enough disappointment and bad breaks, it doesn't need the folks that are supposed to be supportive of the squad looking for the opportunity to eat some piss-milk cheerios

Its not rocket science people.

If you are Rivera, and you know if you fail this year you are fired, do you install a completely new offense and give it at least half a season to gel or do you promote from within, keep the same offense, and hope for the best?

Rivera does not strike me as a huge risk taker. He promotes from within.

This. Agree!

Gettleman is the new man in charge. Rivera is not his guy. Gettleman will build this team his way (NYG way, DL). Chico better learn how to use the players it he want to keep his job.

agreed and it's a huge knock against him.

With Cam, our backfield, Smitty and Olsen...we dont need a guy who is "creative." We just need someone who will be smart and not try to do too much. I dont want a John Fox type offense, but put the ball in Williams, Stew and Tolberts hands and let them carry us. Cam can, but Chud tried to do too much with Cam as the QB. I think this offense can be top 5 once again by just simply simplifying things.
