A quick Look back at Chud

You will see the defense get burned on the same plays several times in the 4th quarter. Tampa and Chicago called the same plays OVER and OVER and came back from double digit deficits to win. Then you got Teflon Ron calling time outs at the wrong times and never knowing when to go for it on 4th, kick a FG or punt....it was a combo of poor defense execution and Teflon Ron not knowing how to close out.

Once again I'm not disagreeing that those things played their part. The Chicago game in particular was a disgrace defensively in the 4th. However you have to admit, that the offence was inept for the first 8 weeks and was part of us starting 1-6.

Not to mention in those first 7 games, we didn't score over 20 points in 4 of them. I would like to know our offensive rank at that point in the season.

20 points should be enough to win a game especially if you are leading.

no really he made DA a pro bowler, did you not know this? So yeah keep believing its all Cam.

I'm not saying Cam had nothing to do with it but Chud schemed to offense to Cams strengths and did an excellent job of doing that

i was kidding when i said that. But seriously he may have schemed the offense to Cam's strengths but he OVERDID it constantly, and defintely did not scheme right on many 3rd and 1, 3rd and 2's. The read option was not working, why did he continue it? Don't even get me started on the wildcat formations that fooled no one. He did an excellent job last year, then poo the bed. This isnt classified information everyone knows this.

number 12 offense pooing the bed? I dont think u get offers for being a head coach for being a idiot. chud may have tried to do to much with cam early, hell people make mistakes. but the guy was a great offensive cord. the stats prove it. the offensive output proves it. i dont see what ur arguing.

He got one offer....to the Browns. The poo stain of the nfl. I dont know how you are not getting this. Chud screwed us the first 7 or 8 games of the season. Hes a great offensive coordinator but he overthinks and tries to outsmart the competition. We were 7-9 with his offensive play calling. Im not saying hes an awful oc in general. Hes just awful when it really matters. I dont understand why this is so hard to understand. We put up insane offensive numbers, u can blame the defense for some losses, but a lot if the time the offense was in position to win games with one or two first downs and he would call ridiculous wildcat or read optiin plays that were not working the previous three quarters.

And we can debate semantics all day, but Chud rarely called the right plays when it really mattered
