Wasn't it 2009?

the Panthers rebounded in the 2008 season, finishing the season with a 12–4 record, claiming the NFC South title and a first-round bye in the playoffs. However, the Panthers' season came to a crushing end, as they lost to the Arizona Cardinals 33–13 at Bank of America Stadium in the NFC Divisional playoff game. The Panthers' offense was plagued by Jake Delhomme's six turnovers (five interceptions and a fumble).

    • Yeah, I'm not trying to rain on any parades but I'm not gonna let my hopes get too high either.
    • That's always going to be the case on a team coming from the bottom, though. We are acting like we have arrived because we have something to look forward to again.  It was hard to be optimistic during the Rhule era. I don't disagree with you, but they way I see it is, we have nothing to lose by being happy/optimistic right now.  It may be the only enjoyment we get if things DON'T work out.  Let the dreamers dream imo.
