Warmack come on down

These same people said the same stuff about Luke Kuechly, and they were right.

This is such a terrible argument. Kuechly's success has literally nothing to do with SHOULD we have drafted him. The ease of which you can find talented LBs who pile up tackles says no.

The guy whose more likely to win DROY in Bobby Wagner agrees.

And let me just take a moment to giggle at the notion that "hitting" on a LB is anything to marvel at. It's like "hitting" on a RB. Meaningless.

Since when did people get the notion that the object of the draft was to pick players who were most likely to "not-bust" rather than picking players who could become talented contributors at key positions.

This is more Marty Mediocrity brainwashing this poor fanbase.

Why you so mad about Warmack? Who's your guy?

I'm not mad about Warmack. I don't support the senseless notion of using a first round pick on the offensive line equivalent of a Fullback, especially one that isn't suited to the way this team should be built, and ESPECIALLY when there are talented viable prospects at crucial positions of need.

And its way too early to have picked a horse in this race.

agree with all of you on the warmack bandwagon, and for most of the reasons stated! i dont see how he goes before us, especially after all of the upcoming combine heros...a couple of "poe" and "brockers" types will be picked based on position and potential, i think he's there when we pick. i honestly hope barrett is there in the second, he's smart and extremely fundemental, and played every position on the line in his time at bama...would be an absolute stud center if we do something with kalil, and if we stay with kalil (the highest paid center in history), then he's our plug and play guy! i know people want some skill position guys, but building our line first is by far the smartest thing we can do, and if we pass on the pieces when they are available, we are just setting ourselves back, in my opinion.

I guess keeping Cam upright, improving the running game, and getting a player who is a monster isn't important to Growl haha just poking fun

You plug in a guy with Warmack's ability, Kalil comes back healthy, an improved Silatolu and you're looking at a very solid interior push...

Last time I checked having a brick wall for an OLine was considered a good thing. An OG like Warmack is a good pick at 14.

Well I like the notion of using a high pick on a needy position and RG is especially one of the need. If you were talking OT, I'd be on the same page with you.

We thought Keek could play OLB and MLB and look how much of a difference he made when we moved him back to his natural position. I will take a guy that can absolute dominate at one position over someone who can play 2 pretty well. Warmack could be as good as Carl Nicks.

We drafted him because he could play more than one position. So again why pick a guard who can't play tackle when we can pick a tackle who can guard and then transition to tackle. It makes no sense.

And who says he will dominate. I hear the same things about Amini this year, we saw how that worked out.

How many times has Cam had to spin out of pressure from up the middle while trying to pass? Or just been outright sacked because of it? Too many if you ask me. Having guards that can open up the middle of the pocket for him to step up or run through is probably equally as important as having tackles. If he can run straight up the field away from DE pressure there isn't much the defense can do.

Ummm... I don't know. This guy screams Jeff Otah to me. He looks out of shape by NFL standards. The guy needs to get rid of some of that gut that is hanging there. If not then he will end up been another Jeff Otah look a like.

Stop with the Otah out of shape crap. He was NEVER out of shape. His knees were just shot.

I understand what you are saying. We should have drafted him and we did, we didnt know the status of our LB core and he was the perfect pick for us. Talented LB's depends on the D-line you put in front of them. With what Luke did with the talent in front of him, says numbers about who he is as a player and a LB. Ask the Raiders or the Seahawks, about hitting on a LB in the top ten and they will show you something to giggle at.
