I mean whats not to like?!? Dude looks like Pat Riley only 20 years younger and minus the botox. Seriously though, the more I read on this guy the more I am really on his bandwagon. He was a finalist for the Colts gig last season before they hired Grigson. I view him as the Cam Newton of GM prospects. Before we drafted Cam, he had 0 experience in a pro system but had tons of upside and all he did was win. Popp is a guy that has no NFL experience but with his team being one of the best teams in the CFL for nearly 20 seasons now, all he does is win and he has a lot of upside.

He has scouting experience, GM experience oh AND he is the VP. Did I mention he is a Panther fan thats a season ticket holder and lives in NC? This is a match made in heaven. Not only that but he is 48 years old, PERFECT age. Not too old, yet not a 30 something that is still real green. Perfect GM age in my opinion. I really hope he is our guy.

Intresting note, the GM for the Falcons that Accorsi scouted, Dimitroff.. Also had extensive scouting gigs in the CFL

Yes he is CFL, so what. NFL teams seem to like him, he was the finalist for the Colts GM job, he was in the final two between him and Grigson and he also interviewed for the Rams last year also if im not mistaken

I'd probably put him third on the list behind Ross and Gettlemen... He's done great in the CFL twenty years of success is nothing to play with.. Yes this would be a huge step up for him but it's still twenty years of success on a professional football team (ducks for cover) I know I'll get blasted for this lol
