What do you guys think about drafting Kennan Allen? Was looking around at some hot college receivers for draft and he stood out to me.

Obviously o-line is more important, and safety. But this guy would be a worth while addition I thought.

Smitty will only be around for so much longer, and Lafell can't do it all. I'd personally rather see this guy be drafted than us get a Wallace/Jennings/Fitzgerald Free Agent.

And while on this subject, what are some potential draft choices in the WR position?

I would absolutely not spend a pick on him where he will likely go in the draft.

I feel much the same way. There are a lot of receivers with about the same talent level in this draft. We should be able to find somebody talented in the second if we covet a receiver.

Yea, I'm really interested in one in the 2nd. The only guys I'd rather have in the 2nd than a WR are Barrett Jones, Dallas Thomas maybe, DJ Fluker maybe, and if we don't get a DT in the 1st I'd want one in the 2nd above all (J. Williams, S. Williams, K. Short pretty much in that order).

The WR class is deep but not top heavy. Looking at late-mid first round when you should start seeing some WRs getting taken.

Sitting at #14, we have a shot at picking up the best OG in the draft and it wouldn't be a reach...even for a guard.

I want Rodgers more than anybody. I think he has far more talent than any other receiver in this class. Just a straight up play maker with size that loves contact. Kind of like Steve Smith. He is not afraid to take a hit. But will always make the catch. If we can get him in the second it would be a complete steal.

Yop Rogers is my favorite WR but the issues scare me a little . 2nd round all day and a steal

      I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.

      Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
