Let's not act like the Redskins are to be envied. They won their first division title in 12 years. Sure, they gave up 2 drafts to get the QB to do it and he may be injured all of next season but hey! They got that one division title they've been dreaming of for 12 years.

It's true the Falcons are in their most succesful era in team history. They have never ever ever been this good before. Sure they have been playing since the 1960s. But lets be jealous of that. It only took them 50 years to figure it out.

The total lack of respect by fans of the team for Jerry Richardson.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the reason this forum exists today is not because the the all powerful Zod, as mighty as he may be he was not the person who brought the NFL franchise to Charlotte and the Carolinas. Without Mr. Richardson we would all be either Redskins fans or worse yet Falcons fans without a team of our own.

Show the man the respect that he deserves he's the reason we are all Panthers fans today and have a team.

Using this logic, since I'm a Military Vet & put my life on the line so he could have a Carolinas to bring the team to he fugging owes me & I'll criticize him if I feel he deserves it.

Seriously, bitching about Jerry Richardson is like bitching about your parents forgetting to buy you a game to go with your Playstation as a kid.

No, it's like your parents found that really hard to get toy for Christmas, but then you had to finance the purchase for them and pay them a fee every time you used it, and you weren't allowed to complain about it when it no longer worked well.

JR brought a business and a product to Charlotte that you just so happen to like.

I like shopping at Lowe's over Home Depot. I prefer their product, but if they fug up my merchandise then I'm going to raise hell.

The Panther's aren't a charity, they are a franchise. We owe JR nothing. Unless you really value the ability to spend money, on something you like, that fuging much.

Haven't read past the OP, but give me a break. Let's say JR decides to go cheap for years and years and we end up like the Browns. You'll still have respect for him? That's sad. Just because he brought football to the Carolinas doesn't mean he gets a lifetime pass on criticism and dislike.

I guess you respected President Bush? I mean, he was our fearless leader afterall!

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
