darin gantt "Panthers keep finding scapegoats, bigger problem remains"

Gantt starts the article question all of Rivera's moves, then says the real problem is the misallocation of dollars spent on running backs by Hurney.

Well, which is it, Darin?

He's never gotten over the (unfair) way he was dropped, but no need to take it out on innocent people.

i vote for both.

it's a clusterf*ck.

In the past I enjoyed Gantt, but lately he has become ridiculously critical (almost bitter) with his tweets and stories. No matter what the Panthers do, they are wrong. The stance is getting tired. Its like when he started working for pro football talk he wanted to focus on ragging on the Panthers.

Honestly, what decisions has the franchise made recently that he should be applauding them for?

he is a prick and i've had my share of arguments with him over the years, but i can't argue with the write up. he made a lot of good points and brought up a lot of good questions that i don't know the panthers have a good counter to.

I agree, I deleted him from my twitter. I got tired of him.

Sadly, I agree with this too. :(

    • Regardless, Dan overpaid  I like Moehrig but he ended up with the highest contract for a safety. Patrick Jones has no business getting the deal he did. People look at sack numbers and that’s silly. It was the same thing as Wonnum. I went and looked at a few of his sacks and like Wonnum’s he benefitted from being the free rusher on a blitz  It’s so important that they’re smart with their money as we get into Young’s prime years. We got into cap trouble with Cam and I really don’t want to watch that whole story repeat itself
    • The terrifying thing about us drafting an athletic phenom that needs significant development is that it begs the question, how many of our draft picks ever actually develop? Seems like most of our guys are as good as they're going to get on the day we draft them. Hopefully this new staff can reverse that trend but it just seems like we've been drafting highly talented developmental prospects for years now and then completely fail to develop them.
    • So many times I’d rather them just not sign anyone and carry over cap space. We aren’t winning the SB next year. So at this point unless you’re signing an actual difference maker don’t bother  This is why I was fine paying DK 30 million a year. Otherwise they’re just going to burn it on crap anyways. At least someone like DK impacts our entire offense as a whole and defenses game plan for him. I can promise you no one is game planning for Patrick f’n Jones or Tershawn Watson
