What the Colts did that I hope the Panthers mirror.

They badly need better OL and a good, young primary receiver.

Drops and poor protection killed them today.

A more frequent scene in a Charlotte area unfortunately. At least the colts players will get their rookie lumps out at the same time! Cam may have to wait and frustrate through with new guys... So we are behind.

This is one of the best Safety classes ever. Where ever you're getting this stuff from, call someone to come block it on your browser.

LOL this class is horrid and may end up without a first rounder. Reid

, Vaccaro, and Elam are all fringe 1/2, are better in the box and have major flaws in coverage.

i think based on what im reading for others, we need to also mirror Indy's schedule and divison they are in. because that was why they won so many games.

and maybe have one coach miss several games to get cancer treatment and then have your OC miss his only game of the year in the playoffs.

yeah. lets mirror that.

Patterson isn't going at 14. Nor should he He's a Stephen Hill type prospect who may creep in at the bottom of the first. Hopkins stock is going to skyrocket and wont be there when we pick in the second. May not be there when we pick in the first, honestly, depending on who Miami likes better between Allen and Hopkins. This is a terrible WR class.

not really.CP was in a more pro style offense compared to Hill. CP also returned kicks and punts.he even played some RB so he is a lot more versatile.

I'll ignore the fact that other than Elam you're completely ignoring the top of the class (but walterfootball said!) and get straight to the point.

It's this same, stupid argument a few posters hold that gets shot to oblivion every year.

"like zomg! How can you say this class is good!?! There's not even a <insert once in a lifetime blue chip talent> at <whatever position poster thinks we should get>!!! this class is horrible!!"

Never mind the fact that late first early second round talents at safety will likely be available when were picking again in the 4th, this class is is TeH sukz! I mean do you see a Sean Taylor in this class! I sure don't!!"

He's an incredibly raw prospect that has played one year of real football without much production. He drips potential but he is incredibly unrefined and I really really doubt he's a viable selection for us in the first

Oh and please don't even begin to compare him to Cam. Cam was much more refined as a player coming out in comparison to Patterson at their respective position, and put up massive production en route to single handedly leading his crappy team to an undefeated season.

I know you didn't say anything about Cam, but I could see some loon doing it.

Listen man, I form my own opinion on these things and could give 2 shits about the popular names on here. It's a bad class to me and they are all flawed severely. I think Lester and McDonald are complete garbage. Reid takes horrible angles to the ball carrier and Elam can't cover Dwayne Jarrett with one leg. Now if we had a third I would welcome DJ Swearinger or Tony Jefferson. I see those 2 as the safties who have a great future in the NFL.

I think some of the more hyped guys particularly from that state west of NC have great skill-sets and dominant abilities, but have at least one big thing that makes them question marks. Examples such as Patterson's lackluster (that's being very kind) route running, Hunter's drops + health, and Rodger's off-field issues + in-game attitude. I'm not saying they suck or won't do well, but there's glaring weaknesses with certain hot names near the top of the class and additionally, there's no for sure top wideout...so from one perspective it does look pretty bad like you said.

Definitely a lack of flashiness in this class and a for-sure-stud-WR, but I think a handful of really solid guys that would be great fits for us. Bottom line, we need a big play threat and I think they are out there. Hopkins & T-Will I think fit best for us imo but I wouldn't sleep on the likes of Cobi & Patton.

Just depends where the pieces fall and who rises/falls through the offseason. Its a process and we'll evaluate things moving forward :)

Please do tell who you think is the top of the class so that I can laugh at you.

Raw yes but he also produced at a pretty large level in the SEC.over 1000 yards in all purpose yards and 10 TDs as a raw prospect is impressive. and being 6'3 200 pounds, running a 4.4 or sub 4.4 will make him shoot up the board.

a weak conference, a weak division, a weak schedule, and coach on death's door to inspire?

i'd rather us just know how to finish games early and often rather than just in december. that's all we need. knowing how to not give the game away to the other team.
