Is Jerry Richardson just too damn old?

I'm don't mean this as a slam on JR, but it just hit me that the man is 76 years old running a billion dollar franchise seemingly with impunity. In what other scenario would someone at such an advanced age have so much unchecked control?

I wonder, does JR still have what it takes to make the correct decisions in this fast paced, always on the clock league? Hopefully the new GM will hit the ground running and be much more than another "yes man".

Edit: With impunity. I told you I was high when I wrote this.

Why do people keep saying Hurney was a yes-man? It's pretty annoying. The only thing people have to support this is 2010 (and IMO, this was pretty exaggerated - all we really did was release old veterans and we did try to re-sign Pep, feeling just wasn't mutual) and that was due to the upcoming lockout. Otherwise, I'm not seeing it, especially considering Richardson fired him.

And most NFL owners are old.

seemingly without impunity

op seemingly without formal schooling

You have to love these threads where some fool who probably never made it out of a piss poor secondary education system, starts complaining about the habits and intelligence level of the owner of a multi million dollar corporation built from scratch.

would you rather have someone younger like Dan Snyder?

Because as we know................... he makes all the right decisions.
