Chud is optimistic about the offense per Panthers.com

I think The Chud is a great OC. He got a little carried away with his "greatness" at the beginning of the season. Actually, I think Chuds creativity was screwing us over early this year. When he got back to what he does, we won.

The Chud is learning, same as MickeyD on Defense. Rivera on the other hand.......... Boo Hiss.......

I am starting to come around to the idea of giving them one more year.

One thing that pissed me off this year....everyone was giving the Redskins credit for their amazing new revolutionary offense. We did that and more last year. Perhaps other teams adjusted and Cam was not as mature as he had to be yet with the little things (i.e. decision making) so we took a step back. But the offense was very good for the second half of the season (minus the KC game) and if we can get that all year with a better offensive and defensive line, we could see the playoffs.

Hopefully Chud learned that you would need some kind of mutant lineman to run the option more then once a drive. it takes way to long to develop(as long as a pass play) and the defense can be in the backfield before the read is even made. Faster action if they would have went with pistol reads.

Chud screwed up a lot early this season but overall I like what I have seen from him and think he has learned his lesson. The last thing we need is to bring in someone new that will try and get cute while learning what they have with Cam, it would be this year all over again.

Wonder how Washington's offense is going to look when the other teams have had an offseason to watch film on it.

Hmm I remember being optimistic as fug before this season began too. The key word is TRUST. I do not trust Chud or Rivera. They violated that trust this season. 2-8. Inexcusable, no matter how many sub-.500 teams we beat at the end of this season.

exACTLY

We pretty much only talk about play calling when we discuss OCs, but Chudzinski is actually a really good play designer. That's important too.

I honestly think if he hadn't made the one huge mistake of going to read option as the base (something a lot of fans on this board were actually calling for this time last year, by the way) then this past season probably would have been okay overall. Once they got away from it, the offense began to look good again.

RG3 is still a very good QB, but I see them taking a small step back. They will probably learn from the mistakes that we made earlier in the year.

I see him taking a big step back and getting banged up without a 1500 yard RB
