cowher to carolina?

We are also the Carolina Panthers, not the Steelers. Cowher is overrated. Look what Tomlin has done in 6 years. Hell, look what he did in 4 years. Give me a break. Cowher is a loud mouth, that underachieved for a decade and a half. Do not want.

That's fine you don't want him

But underachiever? We must be one of the worst franchises if what he did was underachieve. Does anybody even remember players from the early to mid 90's on the Steelers?

Cowher would be a GIGANTIC asset to this organization if he were brought on in any role. Anyone who thinks otherwise either hasn't watched football for more than a few years, or is mentally retarded.

Bill Cowher puts asses in seats, and would be a great seasoned coach for a young roster. Period.

It took Bill Cowger how long to win a Super Bowl?

U do know how many truly great coaches have never won a Super Bowl?

He won one. His teams were tough. His teams were respected. He had sustained winning seasons.

In 17 years what do the Panthers have?

It amazes me what people say about Cowher...when one of u coaches on here playing Madden win a ring then bad mouth the chin.

Lets see...

Since 1995 the Panthers are on their 4th Head Coach, reportedly contemplating #5.

Since 1992 the Steelers are still on their 2nd and have no plans to make a move.

So your comparison is not a very good one.

Unless you can show me an example of the Rooney family hiring a retread head coach, it's actually quite a good one.

You simply miss the point that the Steelers hire good people and stick with them.

Hence Chuck Knoll 23 years, Bill Cowher 15 years, Tomlin 6 and counting.

In the Panthers comparitive brief history and numerous coaching changes, they are much different than the Steelers, however your retread comparison bears no merit..

Cowher was an excellent HC then, and at 55 would be an excellent one today.

His life was sidetracked when his wife died in 2010 of melonoma.

Should he decide to return to coaching I'm sure he'd have many suitors.

JR isn't likely to make such a move.
