Greg Ellis is Interested in Playing for Carolina

I could see us carrying 9 DL.....given that we have to carry two kickers. I still think Taylor is firmly in the crosshairs.

Taylor is not gonna get cut unless he is just horrible at TC. He played as a Rookie on Foxes team and that is saying alot. We are prob gonna go thin on WR and we are really thin on DT and OL.

Seems to me that there will be a lot of competition at many positions. It is going to be hard this year to make cuts. There will be talented folks thay are released this year. If Peppers comes back then Ellis is not coming. But if he holds out and Ellis is still available, He would be well worth it.

I agree that Taylor isn't assured a position this year but he is cheap which should help. He better have a great training camp and preseason.

He'd be a great depth signing. He would definently see the field. He can have James Anderson's spot and backup Thomas Davis, but also fill in for the starters on the DL if nessesary. Sign him!

Are you serious? Do you really want a 34yr old Ellis trying to cover TE's and RB's out of the back field? He is only a LBer because Dallas switched to a 3-4 scheme...he is not built to play LBer in a 4-3.

We aren't signing him to be a starter, only depth. Of course I'd rather have Davis on the field but he can fit in as a LB or on the DL, two areas where depth is definently a strength.

He won't be playing LBer here, I guarantee you that.

I remember how everyone was saying the same thing last year about Predator....and how did that work out.

Taylor WILL NOT beat out Pep, Brayton, Johnson, or Brown.....that is a fact. His only hope is that we carry 5 DE's.....which again I doubt.

We will only know in a few months.....let's resume this discussion once TC plays out.
