The organization doesn't need the liability of excessively drunk patrons in the stands nor on the road after the game. 1 dead pedestrian or driver and Panthers are potentially liable. Answer is very simple regardless of the slant of your questions.

Poll Questions are slanted to get a particular response as any "No" answer is made to look like a wussy. Sorry just stupid to answer Yes on this one for anybody with the best interests of the public and the team. Also there will be a lot of Women and Children at these games.

Sorry, if people want to get blasted at games, they do anyways at the tailgates before and after. Not having beer in the games does nothing for the public good. If someone gets too drunk and out of hand, they should be escorted out. But why punish the responsible beer drinkers out there for the actions of a handful of numbskulls?

Generally speaking, I agree with Zod on this. The availability of alcohol is such that eliminating it for roughly thirty minutes in the 4th quarter probably has a negligible effect. The bottom line is that people have to assume personal responsibility for their conduct, and sluggin' down a pony keg before and after the game, knowing you have to drive, is just plain stupid. My only caveat is that by cutting off the alcohol in the 4th might relieve the Panthers of perceived liability for the guy who drinks heavily before and after the game (i.e., "Hey we cut the guy off at the end of the third quarter. What he did after he left us is not our responsibility").

From a crowd control aspect, I think it's best. If you allow people to buy beer all the way up to the end, it will encorage them to hang around in the stadium after the game (to finish their drink). It's the same reason last call in a bar is usually 15 minutes before close.

The last thing I'd want if I'm stadium security is a bunch of folks who have been drinking all day and who are still probably emotionally charged about the result of the game hanging around together in the premises.

I don't have a problem with it. Make a two-fisted run at the end of the third quarter and keep a stash in the car cooler if your deal is to maintain a buzz all day long. The fact of the matter is there is a disproportionate percentage of stupid motherfugers who can't make the right decisions and can't control their body who attend large sports events. It has nothing to do with the Panthers.

The Panthers have a greater responsibility to at least make an attempt at greater safety, even if it is only perceived, than they have a responsibility to make sure your beer buzz is uninterrupted.

    • I don't think Rodgers but probably not for the political reasons I bet a lot of posters are motivated by. I just think he is not the QB for the Panthers, at all.
    • Sun Devils just scored another TD on BYU, 14-0
    • It wasn't great but  the 2022 NYG won 9 of 16 games plus a playoff game. He had a 92.5 passer rating. 15 pass TDs 3200 yards, 7 rushing TD, 700 yards 6 fumbles 3 lost.  His first season he had 18 fumbles lost 11. Wow.  Anyhow he had problems in 2023 with injuries and didn't win poo before tearing his ACL. This year, no Barkley, not good, but you know.... these ACLs take a while and it was right and he throws right so pushes off of it.  I agree it doesn't hurt to let that guy compete cheap. You don't hand him the job like with Bryce or NYG with him.  When I look at what we have been saddled with, he doesn't look worse and has the physical advantage. So I don't get the umbrage given our situation. This "No we won't settle for anything less that the best" attitude and then taking Bryce Young was pathetic and I think that attitude brought us to where we are. That's where that poo gets you. Away from Mayfield, away from Darnold, even away from PJ - just to replace them with an inferior PJ.  At the same time I am not really advocating for the guy just looking at it objectively. It could be another guy with the same story. And yes the odds of him getting it are low but the numbers and performance from 2022 are for sure better than we see with Bryce even after a season of major propping him up with better players around him. Take a look don't take a look he fails or he doesn't fail...   to instead sit here and be happier with what we have is bullshit.
