One way how Chud has improved greatly..

Time of possession. These last few games it seems like everytime Cam and company have the ball, the drive lasts for eons and we do a terrific job of keeping the opposing offense off the field. That is just one of the reasons the Chud hate baffles me, yes the first few games I understood and agreed with the Chud hate, but the last 5-6 games it is like we have a completely new offensive coordinator. I remember last season all Chud would call are deep, down field bombs. The offense would get on the field and in just a couple drives we already made it to the redzone and scored.

Time of possession is EXTREMELY important to win games and Chud has been a master of it these last few games.

I think people are forgetting that this is really a regression to normal - not great progress.

We were pretty good at holding the ball last year too. We were so fuging awful at the beginning of this year that anything feels like he's suddenly the greatest offensive mind in the world again.

I hold out no faith at all that he won't drink his own KoolAid in the offseason and start next year just as stupidly.

I hope I'm wrong.

But you are completely missing the point that we have 3 OL starters on IR (two of which are our best in Gross and Kalil).

The fact that we have been able to have a strong running game with the patchwork OLine is a very good sign.

Still want to draft OT in the first round though.

Chud ruined us this year.

There was improvement after nothing mattered but I see this as largely a sink or swim offense. When it's going bad it's hard to make adjustments or Chud did not want to make adjustments and renders your offense basically useless. I mean it was useless against the Giants, Seahawks and opening game against the Bucs. Just nothing all day and virtually gave us no chance those weeks. I don't want an offense like that.

I suspect that Rivera gave Chud all the decision making last year and through the first 8 or 9 games this year. Then he got more involved and just went back to a more traditional offense. Plus Newton really improved his ability to read defenses and take what they were giving us instead of holding the ball or trying to make a big play. I think the whole team and the coaches has matured quite a bit this year. I don't expect a slow start next year and I do expect a playoff run.

Is it crazy to think that Stew getting hurt was actually a blessing in disguise for our run game? Dwill played really well when it was just him and Tolbert. There was none of this swapping back and forth between dwill and Stew BS where neither can get going and they get 5 attempts each the whole damn game.

To me that says our OL coach is a fuging boss, our backups are playing their balls off, and we have good backs.

When we had our starting OL we were running the Peter Pan Tricky Fairy Dust offense.

My point has nothing to do with the OL - it has to do with him starting this season thinking he was smarter than the rest of the world and getting punked. We played games this year where Deangelo and Stewart each had single digit carries. That does not say good OC to me.

Like I said I hope I'm wrong but I don't have faith in him not to do the same thing next year.

The problem with Chud is he gets this wild hair up his azz and wants to turn our offense into a 100% read option .... Forcing the read option down Cam's throat took us out of the playoffs and kept our sucking defense out on the field to get thrashed by QB's like Brady Quinn
