Get Clowney at all cost.

Gamecocks homerism is pretty formidable and substantially annoying but Clowney might actually warrant it because he actually is the best player in college football. He's basically Peppers but much faster off the snap. Too bad we won't have ANY shot of drafting him, unless we have the number one pick on 2014, and he's probably gonna end up in Jacksonville. LOL

Once again we will have a need next year at DE. Greg Hardy will be gone. Maybe we could swing a trade for a future first rounder, or collect some picks so we can move up. I'd absorb an high cap expiring contract for a year in exchange for Gross or gamble and a solid pick.

Notice only Gamecocks fans are trying to conjure up unrealistic trade scenarios to get him when he's not even eligible.

You should try reading the thread before making a smartass response. Show me ONE SINGLE "unrealistic trade scenario" (other than the sarcastic 10 first round draft picks and Greg Hardy one) posted by ANYONE on here. Good try though.

We have no idea if Hardy will be gone or not.

I suppose if we wanted him over CJ he'd be here. We shouldn't cut Gamble and Gross just to resign Hardy which would be a huge mistake. Better to take a good DE in round 1 or 2 then to have all that money tied up at the two defensive end spots. If we do resign him then CJ needs to go in another year which could happen I guess. I think we should franchise Hardy then next season resign him then trade CJ for draft leverage to get Clowney, that way we could have two top flight DEs but only one tying up a lot of cash. CJ and a 1st might be enough to get it done.
