So, to sum up...

It's day two of the offseason, day two.

On day one, we asked permission to speak to two strong candidates from the Giants, one of whom has received no interest anywhere else so there's not likely to be any competition for him.

There are other candidates with whom we're rumored to have interest but whom we haven't contacted yet.

Pretty much nobody outside of Pat Yasinskas thinks Brandon Beane has a chance at the job. Even Joe Person called him "a longshot".

No one seems to know where Jerry Richardson is. he could be in New York working on getting one of the Giants guys right now.

Did I mention it's only day two of the offseason? That's day two.

And in the midst of all that, you think Beane is gonna get the job.

Well when you put it that way, that makes me feel better. Maybe it just seems like the wait is taking forever because It is dead as hell at work and time is just dragging.

If JR was going to hire someone else he would have already. He wants someone who'll want to keep Rivera and as time passes Ross will already be hire by the Jets. We'll then decide to pass on Gettleman and promote Beane as the full time GM. Typical JR move.

I really do not think JR is going to just settle for Beane & RR for another year. He does not like getting embarrassed & that NY Giants game for JR must have been the worst of the year. JR is highly respected in the NFL & with NYG from all reports. I bet RR's status was sealed after that game!
