Regardless of all the speculation pro and con floating around i still believe and hope that Ross, director of NY Giants college scouting, has emerged as the leading candidate to be named the Panthers GM.

My take is JR will make him an offer he can't refuse,unlike last year when he was interviewed by the Seahawks, Colts and Bears and despite other teams interest, he stayed with the Giants for his fifth season.

What scares me is we havent heard a single word about the Panthers asking for permission to interview anyone. Tom Gamble has already been asked. I need to find out if we really will promote Beane and keep Rivera so that way I can know if I still need to follow this team next season. Believe me. Im a die hard FANATIC, but if JR pulls a BS stunt like this, forget it.
