Demarcus Cousins to Charlotte?

Panthers Nation

Recommended Posts

According to kentucky sports radio Cousins was told he would land on either of these 4 teams Charlotte,Orlando,Boston,Dallas. The source said the talks where ongoing but Cousins expects to have a deal done soon.

You guys easily can make the best offer especially if you were willing to give up your lottery pick.

*Im trying to find the link but I got it from RealGM.

Cousins to Charlotte doesnt make sense. Bobcats cant trade their 1st this year (technically owed to the bulls), best offer they could give is Detroit's pick plus maybe Henderson? They arent giving up MKG, and I doubt they trade Kemba with the way he has been playing.

If thats the best offer Sac can get then I'm not sure why they would trade him

I checked out the NBA Trade Machine and this is really all we could offer

Byron Mullens, Gerald Henderson, 1st Round Pick (from Detroit)

Byron Mullens, Bismack Biyombo, 1st Round Pick (From Detroit)

At 22 years old, the acquisition of Cousins is almost like spending a draft pick anyway.

Kemba-Henderson-MKG-2013 pick-Cousins.

That's a heckuva young core.

Also I saw that you said trade the 2013 pick, I'd leave that out of there because Cousins is not worth possibly the number one overall pick in the draft. I say give them Detroits which will probably find it's way to them in 2015.

we can't trade our 2013 pick. Technically it belongs to Chicago

I'm talking about the pick we got from Detroit in the BG8 trade.

Here are our outstanding trades...

Outgoing:

Bulls receive the Bobcats' 2012 first-round pick (top 14 protected in 2012, top 12 protected in 2013, top 10 protected in 2014, top 8 protected in 2015, unprotected in 2016) (Tyrus Thomas Trade)

Rockets receive the Bobcats' 2013 second round pick. (via OKC and Boston) (Byron Mullens Trade)

Spurs receive the Bobcats' 2016 second-round pick (top 55 protected, or extinguished) (Theo Ratliff Trade)

Incoming

Bobcats receive the Blazers' 2013 first-round pick (top 12 protected in the 2013, 2014, and 2015, and unprotected in 2016) (Gerald Wallace Trade)

Bobcats receive the Pistons 2013 first-round pick (lottery protected in 2013, top 8 protected in 2014, top 1 protected in 2015, and unprotected in 2016) (Corey Maggette Trade)

We can trade away incoming picks so I say give them Detroit's because that one won't be seen until 2015 as where the Bobcats might have an opportunity for two picks in the lottery with Charlotte slotted at four and Portland slotted at 15.

Right now, the Bobcats would currently hold the fourth pick (unless the balls bounced are way) and the 15th pick.

Trade away Mullens, Hendo, and the Detroit pick for Cousins then draft a stud shooting guard with the fourth pick and power forward depth with the 15th pick and we're playoff bound.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
