Very Nice Press Conference by Cam

He's great after a win but after a loss..............

Oh yeah, there is this desire to now act like he's grown up from the beginning of the season. Looks like the same Cam to me. Pissed when he losses and happy when he wins. Like EVERY Competitive person..

I wonder what the criticism would have been if Cam was smiling through every interview...Sheesh.

"well-spoken" is a much more nuanced concept than most people care to admit, and it ties heavily into perceptions of leadership. in fact im gonna type up an effort post about this

Don't get me wrong, I'm not intimating that he isn't smart or well educated. He just doesn't seem manage extemporaneous speaking well and as a result it makes his interviews and press conferences seem strained.

You'll not find a bigger fan or someone that wants Cam to succeed more than I do.

But he is not a well spoken young man. He could use a public speaking coach in addition to his QB coach.

Give me a break, Cam isn't running for Senate or being paid to argue in court. The kid is doing just fine in his press conferences, simple and plain.

No but if he wants to start winning over his detractors it wouldn't hurt him to invest some time this offseason in getting smoother in front of the camera when he doesn't have a ball in his hand.

Again, don't get me wrong. I love me some Cam. I'm just saying he could use some polish.

    • been living in town since March of last year after spending 15+ years out on a farm in the middle of nowhere.  Snow was beautiful out there, but always meant a lot of work dealing with the long driveway and long dirt road out and onto paved roads that were the last in the county to get plowed. On normal days it always took 20 minutes to get anywhere. when it snowed...yeah. forget about it for a couple days. still had to go to work, so i'd have to drive on all these narrow and windy snow covered backroads after dealing with my driveway and putting up with the nasty red mud slush on the dirt road. if there was an emergency or some kind of urgent issue that required you having someone drive in or going out, it was just a major stressor.  anyways, i'm just looking forward to snow in the new house in town, where my driveway is really short and the roads are plowed. i want snow that requires no work or stress on me. most people probably love the idea of being snowed in out in the country. been there. done that. i'm looking forward to snow coming in town and being able to get out and about if i need. hopefully we have some this year.
    • I don't think it will be a complete stomping at all. That's not really the 2024 KC team. They have only scored 30 points once this season(shootout versus TB) and their biggest margin of victory has been 13(vs. the Saints). I guess they clearly show better versus the NFC South but not THAT good. Not by their recent years standard.
