Eric Fisher, OT - Central Michigan

Another prospect on the rise, someone we could highly be considering in the 10-15 range.

Fisher is one of the better pass blockers i've scouted (the past 5 drafts). He just gets it, awareness and recognition is there, has all the movement skills you want, rarely loses leverage, despite being 6'8"/6'9", great natural knee bender, wide base and quick feet when in pass pro. Uses hands well, and has a very heavy punch, and never lunges at guys to block them. Only downside is that he can get pushed back at times by a good bull rush, but almost always uses feet/hands/good base and sinks back down, wins back leverage and re-gains leverage. One of the better pulling OL i've seen in a long time, athleticism is top notch, especially shown when blocking at the 2nd level.

As a run blocker, he's not the strongest guy, but quick into his man, with his good punch and if nothing else, can wall his man out of the hole. He will finish if his man gets slightly off balance.

Honestly, he seems like a guy who's, athletic and highly polished. Could very well stand to add another 10-20lbs, but definitely has the frame for it. Inline power is the only sizable issue i see here, and he does a great job of masking that with his technique.

Eric Fisher is a beast. Looks like an incredible prospect. I think Warmack, Matthews, or Lewan could be in that area when we select, and I think I'd rather have one of them. (I know Warmack plays G, but we really, really need a guard...)

I will stand by Warmack, I just saw a little ESPN tidbit comparing him to Carl Nicks. Let's face it, Hangman just won't cut it as a starter anymore.

I know Gross has played poorly this season, but for the most part I attribute that to having a rookie beside him and then a second or third string center beside the rookie. Gross just needed more help.

If we draft Warmack, we pretty much sure up that offensive line.

LT: Jordan Gross, LG: Amini Silatolu, C: Ryan Kalil, RG: Chance Warmack, RT: Byron Bell

Do you like this guy more than Lewan? I feel like if Lewan fixes his first step in pass blocking he will be gold, speed rushers turn the corner quick on him but it looks like a footwork problem to me. As you stated Fisher is very technically sound pass blocking but just an average run blocker.
