Why not Andy Reid?

Alright, I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't been able to read the forum like I used to. But from what I can tell most of you are up Chip Kelly's ass. The last thing I want is Chud's clone running this team. He'd overuse Cam's athletic ability and get him hurt. We need someone with experience... we don't have the time to experiment with a college coach, which rarely works. Andy Reid is an extremely good coach, one of the best of his era. But much like John Fox, sometimes coaches just need a change of scenery. Reid has only had 3 losing seasons in 14 years of coaching. Compare that to our franchise, whose never had back to back winning seasons. And to make his resume even better, all 14 of his years have been with a mobile quarterback. So I don't know what you guys are thinking but I'm on the Andy Reid bandwagon.

Kelly getting cam hurt when the other choice is Reid's when mike Vick and Mcnabb were rarely healthy the whole season? I'd rather have Kelly he's much smarter then chud and will do much better then him.

I want someone who will at least attempt to use the running game. Andy Reid will not....other than that if live the hire.

Kelly is not Chuds clone. He has basically adapted every offense he's run to the competition and available talent. He'd do te same here and don't think he'd overuse Cam.

Agree in that Chud's problem isn't necessarily that he runs a bunch of "college" plays, it's that he is sometimes a bad judge of when to use them and how often to use them. He also just does some boneheaded things that are hard to figure out. A good example is his use of the wildcat on occasion, when every single time it is a DWill run. You might as well have DWill come on to the field carrying a sign saying "we're going to run the ball now, so go ahead and stack the box".

As far as Reid, I think the guy is suffering a bit of burn out and probably needs to take a year off.

Exactly. So saying Kelly is just a chud clone is ridiculous and misinformed

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
