Williams will probably play for 5 or 6 more years as long as he doesn't get injured; he doesn't really have that many carries.

I think he set the 4 year ncaa record for carries at memphis. He has carried the ball a lot, just not lately. I wish Hurney was smarter then all of us wanting to keep double trouble alive. He should be playing elsewhere if Hurney was a competent gm.

This is what happens when you have a gm with fan mentality. As fans we love Williams and Stewart. As a GM you don't give out one, much less TWO huge contracts to RB's. The best rb in the league was a first round pick. The second was an undrafted free agent. Get guys that can block and open up holes and a lot of guys including BRAD HOOVER!!!! can suceed

Yep...Nick Goings went for 100+ yards games week after week.

If you build a real team. OL, QB, WR, etc....RBs simply will have room to run.

Damn, you sure are taking a lot of credit away from double trouble...just remember those stiff arms and cut backs...those types of plays aren't because of the O line..

I had lol at an patty Y in his chat room when he said that Carolina should move Stewart instead of Williams because of the injury history. Just on the fact of how hard it would be to do something with Stewart. While I agree that Stewart isn't an every down back and he shouldn't be making what he's making. Williams doesn't exactly excel in the current system.

If a new coach comes in, maybe I could see Williams restructure. The backfield making this much with a bunch of question marks is a serious issue. Two RB's making big time money, one is going into his after 30 NFL career and the other one can't seem to stay healthy. Something has to be done with both of them imo.
