In all fairness I have never seem Zod take a shot at Cam except to say that he heard he was a diva in the locker room.Well my friend believe it or not I heard the same thing.

Does that make me a hater ...hell no.I like that we have Cam but just wish he excelled in leadership skills the same way he does with his athletic ability

Ive never seen Zod take a shot at Jerry Richardson. Not during 2010 when he destroyed the team over money, not during the last 4 years of losing. Ive never seen him speculate on his character or hint that he was cheap or an egomaniac. And those are things Ive heard people locally say about him for years. Ive heard stories of Richardson mistreating people in his organization and making fiery decisions that hurt the franchise but Zod never speculates or speaks on them why? Does he feel pressed not to talk about him since he indirectly works for him? I like JR, I just dont see him as a leader or someone who can get this franchise over .500. 17 years in, he looks worse now then he did in the 90s.

So its not so much the character attacks that are the problem, its the free passes given out if "we like you" even if you suck at your job. Good ole boy stuff.

WFNZ isn't a real, legitimate sports talk station. We listen to it because it's the only thing on. Like I've said before, I'm really pulling for ESPN730 to take off.

Until they replace Marc James I will listen to 730 and will gladly suffer through App State and NASCAR discussions out of spite

Why is that? Is Cam's behavior so horrible that he must be constantly demonized? Are there no other QB's in the league that act like divas occasionally? Has Cam beat up his girlfriend? Got caught with weed? Is he surrounded by a posse of questionable characters? Does he flaunt his wealth? Does he ever blame his teammates for losses?

Yeah, such sports headlines as "fined for Abusive Conduct" will really leave some wondering what sort of character is Cam. The psychology of our media. You start reading the article that the headline is part of and you will read an article that is so void of much truth but who cares. It's just Cam.

U can look at Cam and know there are those who secretly despise him based solely on their oversized egos and very low self-esteem. Amazing how they brag and go out of their way to make players like The Golden Calf of Bristol into the image of Cam. Yet, they will Cam placed into the typical box reserved for images like his that is quite menacing to them.

Cams behavior is fine.Who would not like to take their son or daughter to see Cam play and have a chance of getting a ball from him? The reason he gets greater attention is his swag and confidence.The guy is a good looking Heisman winner that has a way of energizing his fan base.When you have all that you get the good and bad attention..like or not.

Not comparing the two but look at The Golden Calf of Bristol. Some love him and some hate him but he has that effect on people.

the only reason why people believe newton is being criticized more than anyone else is because newton is the only player that a lot of panther fans really pay attention to.

Yes, other players face heat. Newton is unique. Name another player in the last decade that entered the NFL with the national attention Newton was recieving. Newton is under a different microscope than most 2nd year players and was last year.

At the risk of being too vague do you listen to WFNZ between 3 and 7?

I started listening to 730 because I got tired of listening to Marc and Zarzour spend entire segments of their show talking about every negative thing they could come up with about Cam. Maybe they changed their tune by now...I dunno because I haven't turned their show on in months...but for a while there it was bordering on obsessive.
