Should Rivera be kept as D coordinator

Note: Some of the best coaching staffs have ex HC as coordinators

Texans- Broncos- Packers- Saints ( back when they had Gregg Williams)

It's a trend worth looking at

Of course, but has a head coach ever been the coordinator for the team he was coaching the year before? Doubtful.

This is NOT the same situation, he would still be on the same team, basically taking a demotion. Wont happen.

you're misunderstanding what people are saying.

HC's do not get fired and then stay on (with the same team that fired them) as an assistant.

meeks wasn't demoted. his contract as defensive coordinator under fox had expired.

he was then hired as secondary coach under rivera.

Yeah, that's what happens when I throw that word around too loosely. Didn't mean he got demoted. Just took a smaller job within the same organization. Only Rivera's situation would call for demotion since he's still under contract...even though that will never happen in the first place.
