They care about INTs, sacks and FFs. Luke doesn't have those numbers

When people quote the tackle numbers of Kuechly, my mind zones out. When Kuechly puts in one of the best performances from any linebacker this year, like he did against Oakland, then I start to take notice. He shouldn’t be your defensive player of the year, but the strides he’s made since moving to the middle linebacker spot are hugely encouraging for the future.

Would you rather Luke lead the NFL in tackles or trade some if those tackles in for more INTs and sacks?

Wagner also benefits for playing on a great D and overachieving team.

SO much depends on the guys in front of you. The thing that the voters will not consider---the BEST DT Keuchly played behind was cut by the Buffalo Bills. Chandler, Fua, Kearse, Neblett...Kuechly still led the NFL in tackles and played OLB for the first three games of the year.

He deserved the pro bowl for that reason alone. He also had 2 interceptions.

Keek was the favorite for DROY before the season started... and I think most people changed their mind about him those first few games in the season when he wasn't even starting or playing MLB. I really think that should be taken into consideration in the voting, but I seriously doubt it will.

Oh well, he's still in the best in my opinion.
