I played I-AA in the mid 90's. We played Mars Hill and Lenoir Rhyne in season openers. There was not much difference in those guys and they guys I played against at Douglas Byrd High or Hoggard.

Mars Hill and Lenoir Rhyne are DII schools. Upper echelon DIII isn't bad.
