Setting aside the "Newton vs Luck" stuff...

... the Indianapolis Colts 2012 season is a great story.

And it's one that Panther fans who remember Sam Mills and the 2003 season ought to be especially able to appreciate.

Can tell you that I don't honestly expect they'll win a playoff game, but I'll definitely be cheering for them.

you play who they schedule you to play. Colts had zero control over that. when was the last time the Panthers won over 10 games? or made the playoffs?

it needs to burn each fan what the Skins, Colts and Seahawks are doing. Or the Vikings.

we are doing a great job of being the Bengals south.

soak that junk up with a biscuit and let it sit in your gut.

The Patriots live off of weak schedules on a pretty regular basis.

That whole discussion is irrelevant though, as for the most part are opinions of Andrew Luck.

Pagano's recovery, and his team's support for him, are inspiring human interest stuff. And it definitely brings back memories of 2003.

One difference. From what I can see, it looks like their story will have the happy ending I wish ours could have had.

I honestly wouldnt mind luck or RG3 if the media didnt bash Cam all the time. The only thing i have against these guys is im jealous for Cam. Just think its unfair that so many people get the wrong impression of Cam just because ESPN wants to make his story to be out a certain way. It really irks me, thats my QB!!!

As good as advertised. Great quarterback, great person. He gets my vote for rookie of the year and a quick glance at MVP (i'd give that award to P Manning) Luck has earned a look imho

Luck needs to cut down on his turnovers, and his completion % is horrible. He isn't "great" at the moment. Had a mediocre/average season. He's gonna be a good one, though. Just gotta get them turnovers down. I don't know about his accuracy, though. You can't teach that. Either you've got it or you don't. He doesn't have it.

accuracy can be coached to some degree at least. we've seen cam's accuracy improve significantly when our coaches were invested in working on his footwork.

luck's raw numbers look better because his attempts are sky-high. drop him down to 275-325 pass attempts and he's pretty damn pedestrian.

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
