since bill belichick was fined 50k for running down an official and grabbing him in a threatning manner i suspect cam newton to get fined 500k his go play60 commercial to be pulled and under armor to drop him.

I think you mean 5,000. He didn't go chasing after the Ref and even the Ref said the bumbn which his haters seem to want to add to all the silly ish they canfind wrong with him, was an accident.

Yeah, we do need to feed the media's image of Cam don't we.

PFFL how pitiful is your life that all you have to do on Christmas is spout idiocy about an athlete all day?

I see Grits is right behind you, what a pair you two make.

Are you in a better position if you come in here on Christmas to complain about posters who talk about Cam Newton? Every time I see you respond to one of his replies, it's about him personally rather than the topic.

If he's fined even though the Ref corrected himself later by saying that Newton didn't bump him, that would be a travesty.

No...It would simply prove that thei media is out to ruin Cam'simage.

The Ref stated the bumb wasn't intentionalbut folks are running with their quick to judge stories and ignoring the reality. Cam apolgized and the Raider defense admitted they were out to hurt Cam but he's going to be fined anyway and some on here are quite pleased with it despite all of that simply because it's Cam. Nothing obvious about that at all.

Yes, it seem there is a serious witch hunt out for this young man. And some on this site are more than happy to help destroy Cam's football career.

Well, in all seriousness, since Matther Stafford was only fined 7500 when he actually went after the denfensive guy last season after it was clear the team was upset that they were losing to Chicago, then Cam should only received 5,000. It's clear he didn't intentionally bumb the Ref and he had a right to defend himself, especially when it's clear the defender was out to hurt him and the Ref didn't call him on it.

Despite what his haters want to push there is way to many thing pointing to the fact that Cam had a right to be pissed and he never went after the Ref. The Ref got caught in the middle that was accidentally bumbed. Those who claimed other players have been fined for calling out the Refs, please show me the articles and make sure the situation is similiar to Cam's situation.

Isn't that what u folks wanted.. I get the impression wouldn't leave Cam alone until. U get him thrown out the NFL

I could have sworn the Refs themselves say the bump was not intentional but it's fugging Cam.

Damn you are a complete idiot.

No one is bashing Newton. I don't blame him one bit for his reactions to the cheap shots the Raiders were taking. I was very impressed that he kept his composure as well as he did. Most of us, myself included, would have done much worse.

We just realize that the NFL has been very consistent with touching refs. You touch them and you get a fine.

Was it malicious...no.

Was it intentional..I don't think so.

Was it dumb and warrants a fine...yes, based on the rules.

Cam knew he stepped over the line and publically apologized for the episode. But, a fine is definitely coming,

Now, if a suspension is handed down, That would be a ridiculous travesty.

Cam's not genuine or real?

Not always. I think he does his best in portraying the image Richardson wants him to, but every other week he takes a step back with something controversial. He's been a good soldier lately though and if they were really going after him, I don't blame him so much for the kick. Touching the ref was going too far though and there's no possible way you can tell me that wasn't aggressive. Even if he didn't touch him, and just came at him like that and said something he should be fined.

That wasn't the point though. The point is he can't possibly be expected to get the same treatment high profile veteran quarterbacks get when he hasn't done jack in this league. He also shouldn't be expected to get the same treatment as an elite receiver, when you are the face of the franchise. Especially when he rubs so many people off the wrong way.

I don't understand why this still needs to be explained 2 years in. Like I said, Cam Newton fans believe he should be entitled to the same treatment as guys who have earned it, without doing anything at all, which is both immature and delusional. There's a pecking order in the NFL like in any other league and he hasn't earned that respect yet. It's as simple as that. It's a fact of life.

Yep and niether was his kicking tantrum. People can defend him here all they want, but Cam gives reasons for poeple to pick him apart. He is immature, I'm sure he'll get over it but the fact remains he needs to quit that poo.

Great, lets see how you feel when he finally gets injured from players intentionally trying to hurt him.

I just have to say, it seem some of you are very quick to jump to conclusion when Cam does something. Then when the facts come out, instead of simply saying, yes, we over-reacted, you much rather sit and act like lawyers with your spins and rationale to defend your over-reactions. I'm sure the NFL clearly defines what touching a Ref really is. Especially since football isn't Tennis and even worst, there is tons of body contacts where Refs will be part of.

And by the way, you're name calling does nothing to me. You're a stranger on the internet. I'm sure you can make your argument against what I say without the silly name calling. Remember you're trying to make a strong case against what I posted. Name calling only lowers your attempt at having me take you serious.

You're so not telling the truth. No one is expecting Cam to get any special treatment but fair it fair. Every ish this young man does you folks try to use it as grounds to go in on him. No matter how small. No matter how obvious. No matter how wrong you are. Folks aren't stupid.

And no matter how well you make you're argument, you know darn well you're being disingenuous. It seems you folks are the ones who drag Cam into silly controversy just to feed your already judgemtal view of him.

What has Cam done? He sits with a towel on his head. You folks turn it into a controversy. He doesn't smile after team lose. You folks turn it into a controversy. He makes a statement in during a press conference. You folks spin it into a controversy. He defense himself on the field. You folks quickly attack him and turn it into a controversy. Why don't some of you folks simply admit it, You reason for always attacking Cam has very little with what you're claiming.

And by the way, how and who has Cam rubbed the wrong way in the organization?

And how come Luck, Matthew and all of the media darling QBs can get treated special, but Cam treated like a darn run away slave?
