Why are people hating on The Golden Calf of Bristol because he refused to play the Wildcat after being passed over to start yesterday? People hated The Golden Calf of Bristol because he was such a team player, and now when he finally stands up for himself, people complaining he's a hypocrite. They can't have it both ways. I'm excited he finally stood up for himself in New York. There's no question he was wrongly treated by the Jets, and that whole staff should be fired for the pathetic team their put out there this year.

I root for The Golden Calf of Bristol because he brings a "backyard" mentality to the game of football. I want to see him succeed in that style of play, to see how he can bring his team back in extraordinary ways. Again, I'm flabbergasted with the people complaining about The Golden Calf of Bristol's refusal to play the Wildcat. (A package most fans probably hate anyway)

He's selfish, overhyped, entitled, and a prima donna.

Dude cant throw the football but because of his image the world is supposed to stop for him? FOH. Im sure he's cashing his paycheck this morning but he thinks he can tell his coaches what he can and cant do? He'll be out of the league in 2 years.

His coaches were taking advantage of him. Then when they didn't want their pride to be hurt if The Golden Calf of Bristol played well, they started the third guy over him to save face. I'm glad The Golden Calf of Bristol refused to play the "wildcat". The Jets damaged his career by not letting him play, and show teams how much he's improved or gotten worse. Now I don't think a team who's looking for a QB would consider The Golden Calf of Bristol as a main option, but let the guy play so teams can see if he's improving.

I find it really funny how people are reacting to this. After the Jets treatment towards him. I find it laughable. It's comparable to people saying Chud did a good job with Cam Newton, and making plays "simple" for him to handle. They say The Golden Calf of Bristol will be out of the league in a year, yet when he finally does something to protect his career, they are up in arms against him. I'm not saying The Golden Calf of Bristol is a great QB in terms of NFL calibur, he's probably far from an average looking NFL QB, yet it seems people were waiting for something to get on The Golden Calf of Bristol about. It's so obvious, because what he did yesterday should be applauded.

Wow...such spinning. Some of you need to go work for our media. You're ablility to spin is mind boggling. Why didn't he stand up from the begging and say NO! He claimed he wanted asked to be on the Jets and now things didn't work out, it's everyone else's fault.

Seriously, do you know what the meaning of taking responsibility means?

Has it dawned on you that The Golden Calf of Bristol isn't a real QB? Every coach who gets him has to implement some form of the wildcat to help him because he's bad.I should know. I watched every Jets game he was in. As a matter of fact, he was in one game for 5 minutes and refuse to throw the ball. 101 in being a QB.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has way more than his share of sympathy and that's a fact.

The coaches wouldn't allow him to throw the ball for most of the plays he was in. The wildcat offense is primarily runs. The Golden Calf of Bristol wanted to go to the Jets because the coaches wanted him there. He was led to believe he was wanted there, and his position was the back up QB. Now if the starter is benched, shouldn't the back up QB be the next guy up? Tell me what happened yesterday? Beyond all that, The Golden Calf of Bristol wasn't played like he was led to believe by the coaches. In fact, he was despised from what we can tell.

No, The Golden Calf of Bristol is not a good QB, but he has leadership skills that can't be compared to most guys. He's not an accurate passer, but he can throw sometimes. I believe he can develop those kind of passes, and run the passing offense in a special way. Personally, I want to see The Golden Calf of Bristol succeed in his style of play, just to make things interesting in the game. Yet there is no question the Jets staff messed up The Golden Calf of Bristol's career, more than The Golden Calf of Bristol messed up his own. That is messed up.

Hell yea he's getting slammed on NFL Live by Merril Hodge. Quote "The Golden Calf of Bristol's camp tells the Jets camp that he is unhappy? That is the biggest joke I've heard in a long time. He should be giving thank you cards to the Jets for giving him a chance to play on another team and to the Broncos for drafting him because this guy has no quarterback instincts at all."

IMO, the only way he is going to last in the league is switching to RB.

I'll take him in Washington. We'll use him in the East Coast Pistol. Make him an H-back/quarterback hybrid.

Fine group of young quarterbacks right there. RG3, CK1 and double T The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Unless the Jets specifically told The Golden Calf of Bristol that they would give him a chance to start at QB, then why is he complaining? This is the NFL and you get paid to do what the team tells you. If that team decides to waste 4th and 6th round picks on a personal punt protector/ backup running back, thats their call

I read earlier The Golden Calf of Bristol was promised a shot if Sanchez struggled... if that is true, I can understand being more than just disappointed, but still.

The sad thing here is that The Golden Calf of Bristol took it to the media, and his coaches are now trying to protect him by refusing to talk about it. Gotta give Rex Ryan credit for that at least. Heh.

I doubt this will be a big deal going forward, but I don't know why this was made public... I think it shows that The Golden Calf of Bristol is either very good at manipulating the media or has no idea what he should and shouldn't talk about, because this goes contrary to the image that had (mostly) been portrayed up to this point... we did hear some rumblings in Denver though I think.

The Jets organization is a mess worthy of Jerry Springer.

The Golden Calf of Bristol's always shown good character, till this.

He's also always been a terrible quarterback. that hasn't changed.

He'll be in Jacksonville next year. Probably a better situation, but it won't make his skills any better.

George Whitfield has made a public offer to work with him though. It'd be smart for The Golden Calf of Bristol to take him up on it.

(though I'd be lying if I said I think it'll help)

      This would be the best option a future 2nd and 57 maybe. We’d still have ammo for this draft and you never know what capital we may acquire for next years draft. But getting EZ would really add some juice to our draft a top 3/4 Edge the top WR or at least top 1/2 WR seems like a good haul after two rounds of the draft. This isn’t close to a Brooks dislike last year and dam it sometimes you roll the dice you hit some you crap out some. But not trying or sitting and waiting isn’t going to get us our second impact player and we need 2 to 3 out of this draft to continue to build on where we need to be to contend with all teams.

      You know when I won't be happy about this pick? When it completely ruins my fantasy draft this year, hahahahaha. We do an auction draft and while I have the most historical success in our league (same group of guys for about 15 years now), my one flaw is that I have a real hard time not overpaying for the guys I have a soft spot for and our league has gotten good at getting me to over bid on them to get them. I'm so screwed this year, I'm going to have to put a very hard cap on my budget for T-Mac and not allow myself to bid a dollar over it.  I've already made the determination that he's going to be the first player I nominate this year so I can get it out of the way early and don't sit on budget waiting for him only to over pay or not get him in the end.

      Right. You want a quick hitting offense to receivers who can get open. The personnel around Bryce would be much better suited to a power run game and deep play action which would, unironically, be better suited to a guy like Sam Darnold.    Unless we draft another Theilen like guy later on, I truly don’t get it.    I still want Skattebo though. Have a feeling I won’t get that wish either.
